Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Cortlandt Manor resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a prior DWI conviction within the past ten years and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, both Class "E" Felonies, Refusing to Submit to a Preliminary Breath Test and Failure to Keep Right, both Traffic Infractions.
On January 13, 2018 at about 4:58 pm, Yorktown Police received a call for a two car motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Crompond Road and Pine Grove Court. Sgt. Kolkmann, P.O. Ellsworth, PO Campion and PO Hannigan responded to the scene to investigate. Upon arrival an investigation was conducted by PO Ellsworth and it is alleged that the driver of one of the vehicles was driving while intoxicated. A routine driver’s license check was conducted which revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while his operating privileges were revoked for a prior DWI conviction within the past ten years. It is further alleged that the defendant failed to keep right and refused a preliminary breath test on scene. The defendant was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Department where he was processed on the above charges. He was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who remanded him to the Westchester County Jail without bail. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Court on January 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 59 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class "D" Felony and Menacing in the 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
According to Police, a call was received on January 6, 2018 at about 10:08 PM reporting a domestic incident at an address located in the Town of Yorktown. Sgt. Kolkmann, Officer Caprio, Officer Doherty and Officer Kaen responded to the residence to investigate. Upon arrival Officer Caprio completed an investigation and it is alleged that the defendant assaulted the victim by striking him with a closed fist, golf club and a metal guitar stand causing bruising and swelling on his face and body. It is further alleged that the defendant did menace the victim by placing him in fear of physical injury by holding a steak knife and then allegedly using the knife by poking his legs which caused bruising. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene. She was processed on the above charges and was arraigned by Judge Lagonia where she was released on her own recognizance and a Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Court on January 9, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 51 year old Peekskill, NY resident who is charged with thirty-two counts of Aggravated Harassment 2nd, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
According to police, Detective Davis was assigned to investigate an aggravated harassment complaint. It is alleged that between June 14, 2017 and November 29, 2017, the defendant called the Yorktown Police Department thirty-two times, each time leaving a harassing message for another officer. As a result of the investigation, the defendant was located and arrested. He was transported to police headquarters and processed on the aforementioned charges. The defendant was arraigned before the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection. He was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in court on January 13, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
