Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 37 year-old Mahopac, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor (2 counts), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as, Unlicensed Operator and Broken Windshield, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police on February 12, 2020 at approximately 1740 hours Officer Hannigan was on patrol on Country Place when he observed a vehicle which allegedly had a broken windshield. Officer Hannigan conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the operator as the defendant. A DMV check of the defendant’s driver’s license revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating a vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended and allegedly unlicensed. After a subsequent investigation on scene was completed it is further alleged that he defendant was in possession of a quantity of Suboxone and a quantity of a substance alleged to be Cocaine. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing the defendant was issued one appearance ticket and three traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 3, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 34 year-old Peekskill, NY resident who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, and Operating a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device Installed, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as, No Head Lights in Inclement Weather, No/Insufficient Tail Lights, and Unlicensed Operator, all Traffic Infractions.
According to police on February 11, 2020 at approximately 4:43 PM Officer Hannigan was patrolling Southbound on the Taconic State Parkway when he observed a vehicle operating in inclement weather that allegedly had both a defective head light and a defective tail light. Officer Hannigan conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the defendant as the operator. A DMV check of the defendant showed that he was allegedly unlicensed and his privilege to operate a vehicle was allegedly revoked. It is further alleged that the defendant was operating a vehicle without an interlock device installed. The defendant was then placed under arrest. Following processing at the scene, the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on February 27, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 25 year old Yorktown Heights, NY, resident, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Operate a Motor Vehicle BAC .08 of 1% 1st Offense, both are Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as Refusal to Take Breath Test, Crossing Road Hazard Markings and Driving on Shoulder, which are all Traffic Infractions.
On February 12, 2020, at approximately 1:08 AM, while on routine patrol, P.O. Premuto observed a vehicle traveling West bound on Crompond Road allegedly cross over the double yellow lines and then allegedly cross over the fog line and on to the shoulder. He initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as the defendant. After an investigation on scene, it was determined that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated. When asked to submit to a breath test on scene, the defendant allegedly refused. He was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Upon further investigation at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant was charged with allegedly having a BAC of .08% or higher. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible party. He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 3, 2020, at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 41 year old female resident from Yorktown, NY who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, an unclassified misdemeanor.
On 02/11/2020 at about 10:50 AM, PO Gregorio was dispatched to investigate a report of a one car motor vehicle accident on Route 6. PO Gregorio responded and conducted an investigation. A routine driver’s license check of the defendant revealed that she was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while her privilege to do so was suspended for failure to pay fines on several tickets out of the Town of Yorktown and for having no insurance in effect. The defendant was processed at the scene and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on 02/27/2020 at 6:00 PM to answer the above charge. Yorktown Police report the arrest of 34 year-old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Petit Larceny, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
According to police on January 17, 2020 Officer Kaen responded to Lowe’s on a report of a past larceny of a power tool. Officer Kaen began an investigation at the scene. Officer Kaen continued his investigation for several days which resulted in the positive identification of the defendant as the suspect. It is alleged that on January 17, 2020 the defendant removed a power tool valued at $99.00 from a display shelf and passed all points of sale making no attempt to pay for the item and exited the store. On February 5, 2020 Officer Beyrer and Officer Hannigan located the defendant at a Lexington Ave residence. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing on the above charge the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on February 25, 2020 at 6:00 PM. |
