Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 43 year old Jefferson Valley, NY resident, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a Class “B” Misdemeanor.
On March 21, 2019 at approximately 3:30 PM, Officers responded to a residence in Yorktown to investigate a report of a physical domestic dispute. Police conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the suspect grabbed the victim by her hair and repeatedly hit her in the face and head causing the victim pain and allegedly attempting to cause her physical injury. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charge and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant was served a Temporary Order of Protection and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on April 2, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year old Shrub Oak, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, Failing to Keep Right and Drivers View Obstructed, both traffic violations.
On March 16, 2019 at approximately 3:16 AM P.O. Gregorio conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Glenn Road for a vehicle that had allegedly failed to keep right and had drivers view obstructed. Investigation at the scene identified the male operator as the defendant by his New York drivers license. Further investigation also alleges that the defendant was Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was arrested at the scene for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed at police headquarters on the above charges, posted $100 cash bail and was released to a family member. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 28, 2019 at 6:00 PM to answer the charges. ***** Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 39 year old Mahopac, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and 02 counts of Move From Lane Unsafely, both Traffic Infractions. On 03/16/2019 at approximately 5:54 PM, PO Campion was on routine patrol when he observed a motor vehicle being operated on Route 6 by the defendant, and it is alleged the defendant did commit a traffic infraction. PO Campion conducted a traffic stop on East Main Street and a investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired on drugs. Further investigation revealed that the defendant had two prior convictions within the last ten years for operating a motor vehicle while impaired on drugs. The defendant was also allegedly in possession of a quantity of Dextroamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. The defendant was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honarable Judge Lagonia and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on 03/19/19 at 06:00 pm. ***** Yorktown Police report the arrest of 48-year-old Wappingers Falls, New York resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and DWI Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or More, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, and Fail to Maintain Lane, Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent, and Operating with A Broken Windshield, all Traffic Infractions. On March 16, 2019 at about 11:28 pm, Yorktown Police officers were working with a multi-agency sobriety Stop DWI patrol when P.O. Beyrer conducted a traffic stop after observing vehicle and traffic violations. An investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was also allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08% or more. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released to responsible party on $100.00 cash bail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on March 26, 2019 at 6:00 pm. ***** Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 60 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or more having a conviction in the preceding 10 years and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, all Felonies. The defendant is additionally charged with Moving from Lane Unsafely, Avoiding a Traffic Control Device/Intersection and Moving from Lane Unsafely, all Traffic Infractions. On March 17, 2019 at approximately 01:35 AM, P.O. Curtis while on routine patrol observed a vehicle which had allegedly moved from the lane unsafely, avoided a traffic control/intersection by driving through a business parking lot, moved from lane unsafely again and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop. The defendant was identified as the operator and further investigation on scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .18% or more and had a prior conviction with ten years. It was also alleged that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked for a prior driving while intoxicated conviction in 2016. He was additionally charged with allegedly operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device. The defendant was also charged with allegedly moving from the lane unsafely two times and avoiding a traffic control device and intersection The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters. Upon arrival at Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and later released on $150.00 bail to a responsible party. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 28, 2019 at 06:00 PM. Yorktown Police report that an 18 year old Nanuet resident, whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for Youthful Offender status, is charged with aggravated Harassment in the 2nd degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
According to Police, P.O. Tillistrand was assigned to investigate a report of a past domestic incident that occurred at the Jefferson Valley Mall, 650 Lee Road. On January 24, 2019, between 3:08 PM and 6:44 PM, the male called and threatened the victim 18 times causing her to become fearful for her safety. The male voluntarily responded to the Yorktown Police Department and was placed under arrest on March 11, 2019, at 4:58 PM. He was processed on the above charge and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. He was released on his own recognizance and a Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 19, 2019, at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 24 year old Ossining male who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Drivers View Obstructed, a Traffic Infraction, and No/Insufficient Tail Lamps, a Traffic Infraction.
According to Police, on March 14, 2019, at approximately 10:32 PM, P.O. Curtis was on patrol on Spring Valley Road when he observed a vehicle being operated with one brake light out and an obstructed view. A traffic stop was initiated. An investigation at the scene by P.O. Curtis and P.O. Beyrer, with the assistance of K9 Dallas, revealed that the male was in possession of Cocaine. The male was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. At Headquarters the male was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice on April 16, 2019, at 6pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a fifty-nine year old Yorktown Heights man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and DWI Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or More, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, and Fail to Maintain Lane, a Traffic Infraction.
On March 7, 2019 at about 2:04 pm, Yorktown Police responded to Granite Springs Rd. in the area of Quaker Church Rd. for a single vehicle traffic accident. The responding officers located the driver of the vehicle and conducted an investigation at the scene. Investigation revealed that the driver was driving while intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of .08% or more. It is also alleged that driver failed to maintain his travel lane just prior to the traffic accident. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. He was released on his own recognizance to a responsible party and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 21, 2019 at 6:00 pm. |
