Yorktown Police report the arrest of a sixty-nine year old Peekskill man, who is charged with one count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On April 2, 2022 at about 11:13 am, Yorktown Police responded to a Shrub Oak residence on the report of a domestic incident. Subsequent to the officers’ investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant violated a duly-served Westchester Family Court Temporary Order of Protection by sending text messages to the victim. On April 7, 2022 at about 3:00 PM the defendant voluntarily surrendered to the Yorktown Police Department in reference to the above charge. The defendant was processed on the above charge and then arraigned by the Honorable Aviah Cohen-Pierson, who released the defendant on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 28, 2022 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 67 year old Yorktown NY man, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class "E" Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
According to police, on April 5, 2022 at approximately 2:31 pm, Yorktown Police Officers were dispatched to a report of an assault in progress in the area of 2829 Crompond Road. An investigation was conducted at the scene and it is alleged that the defendant attempted to cause physical injury to another man by hitting him in the shoulder with a wooden bat. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and then arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. Bail was set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond or $20,000 partially secured bond. The defendant was unable to post bail and was turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 8, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 37 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, both Class "A" Misdemeanors. On April 3, 2022 at approximately 2:19 am, Yorktown Police Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Strawberry Road, in the area of Foothill Street. Upon arrival, the vehicle was located but there was no one with the vehicle. A canvass of the area was done and the defendant was later located on Foothill Street. The defendant reported that he was followed home and his vehicle was stolen from his residence. As the investigation continued, the defendant further reported that he was robbed of property and shot at two times during the robbery. After further investigation, it is alleged that the defendant falsely reported the incident and was neither robbed nor shot at. It is alleged that the defendant crashed his vehicle, recklessly causing damage to a rock wall on Strawberry Road. On April 04, 2022 at approximately 11:10 am, the defendant voluntarily responded to Yorktown Police Headquarters in order to speak with officers about the case. The defendant was placed under arrest for the above charges. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to back in Yorktown Justice Court on April 19, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 51-year-old South Salem man who is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, a Class “E” Felony.
On March 28, 2022 at about 4:42 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a criminal mischief. Officer DiNotte responded and met with the victim, who stated she was involved in a road rage incident and alleged that the other involved driver exited his vehicle and punched the hood of her vehicle causing two dents to the hood. Officer DiNotte conducted an investigation, during which the defendant was identified as the other involved driver who allegedly damaged the victim’s vehicle. On March 29, 2022 at 5:00 pm, the defendant arrived voluntarily at Yorktown Police Headquarters and was placed under arrest by Officer DiNotte. After arrest processing was completed, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket for the above charge and released on his own recognizance. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 14, 2022 at 6:00 pm. |
