Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 48-year-old Lake Peekskill, NY resident, who is charged with Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
According to Police, on April 26, 2026 Yorktown Police responded to a residence in Yorktown on a reported Criminal Trespass. A caller reported that an unidentified male had entered their neighbor’s residence. It is alleged that the defendant did enter and remain unlawfully inside the residence of the victim. At the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect was identified as the defendant and it was determined that there was probable cause to make an arrest. On May 8, 2026 the defendant was driving in Yorktown when a traffic stop was conducted. The defendant was placed under arrest and brought back to Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing. The defendant was processed on the above charge and brought to the Yorktown Justice Court where he was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Aviah Cohen-Pierson. Judge Cohen-Pierson issued a temporary Order of Protection on behalf of the victim and provided a copy to the defendant. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and he is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 21, 2026 at 6:00 PM. |
