Yorktown Police report the arrest of a nineteen year old Mohegan Lake man and a nineteen year old Peekskill man, who are both charged with Petit Larceny, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, False Personation, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation; a sixteen year old White Plains man, and a fifteen year old juvenile from Peekskill, who are both charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Identity Theft 2nd Degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, all Class "E" Felonies, Petit Larceny, a Class "A" Misdemeanor and False Personation, a Class "B" Misdemeanor.
Police report that on June 15, 2019 at about 8:00 PM, they received a complaint from a resident who reported that his credit card company notified him that his credit card was actively being used at the JV Mall. Officers were dispatched to the stores where the card was used and were able to obtain descriptions of the suspects. A search of the Mall resulted in the apprehension of suspects. Further investigation at the scene resulted in the arrest of the suspects for allegedly acting in concert to use the credit card to steal property in excess of $1,000 at Piercing Pagoda and under $1,000 at H&M and Foot Locker, to use the identity of the owner of the credit card, to possess stolen property, and for giving false names during arrest processing. In addition, the two adults were alleged to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. Further investigation revealed that the suspects had obtained the victim's credit card after stealing it from an unlocked vehicle that was in the victim's driveway a short distance from the mall. All the defendants were transported to Yorktown PD for processing. The two nineteen year suspects were remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail and are due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 20, 2019 at 6:00 pm. The sixteen year old suspect was released on his own recognizance to a parent and is also scheduled to appear on June 20, 2019 at 6:00 pm. The fifteen year old suspect was remanded to Woodfield Cottage and is to appear in Westchester County Family Court. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year old Yorktown, NY man who is charged with resisting arrest, a class A Misdemeanor, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a class A Misdemeanor, tampering with physical evidence, a class E Felony, criminal mischief in the third degree, a class E Felony, attempted criminal mischief in the third degree, a class A Misdemeanor and criminal tampering, a class B Misdemeanor.
On June 6, 2019, at about 2:50 AM, the defendant was at a Yorktown residence when he allegedly obstructed governmental administration and resisted arrest by interfering with police by attempting to physically push past an officer conducting an investigation and physically resisting attempts to be taken into custody. It is further alleged that the defendant did tamper with physical evidence at a crime scene, cause damage to a vehicle in excess of $250.00 by kicking a door/window, attempt to cause damage to another vehicle window by kicking it and tampered with a toilet. The defendant was arraigned by Judge Raniolo and he was remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant was instructed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 13, 2019 at 6 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 32 year old White Plains resident and a 23 year old Ossining, NY resident who are both charged with Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Police report that, on May 29, 2019 at approximately 3:50 PM they received a report of two shoplifters fleeing the scene from Macy’s in a vehicle. Yorktown Officers located the vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway and initiated a traffic stop. An investigation was conducted and it is alleged that the defendants did leave Macy’s without paying for merchandise valued at $381.92. The defendants were arrested for Petit Larceny and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The defendants were processed on the above charge, issued appearance tickets, and released on their own recognizance. The defendants are due to appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on July 7, 2019 at 06:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 47 year old Yorktown Heights, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On May 31, 2019 P.O. Doherty was assigned to investigate a violation of a Temporary Order of Protection. The victim responded to Headquarters to file a complaint. It is alleged that on May 31, 2019 the defendant did approach the victim and speak with him violating a duly served Temporary Order of Protection. On June 1, 2019 the defendant was located at 359 Downing Drive and placed under arrest for criminal contempt in the 2nd degree. The defendant was processed on the above charge and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo who set bail in the amount of $5,000.00 cash or $10,000.00 bond and issued a new Temporary order of Protection for the victim. The defendant was unable to post bail and was turned over to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 6, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30 year old Beacon, NY resident who is charged with Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Police report that, on May 31, 2019 at approximately 9:08 PM they received a report of a shoplifter in custody at Macy’s. PO Campion responded and conducted an investigation. It is alleged the defendant did leave Macy’s with without paying for merchandise valued at $272.30. The defendant was arrested at the scene for Petit Larceny and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The defendant was processed on the above charge, issued an appearance ticket and later released on $100.00 cash bail. She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on July 2, 2019 at 06:00 pm. |
