Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Putnam Valley man, who is charged with Bail Jumping in the Third Degree, a Class "A" misdemeanor.
According to police, on October 25, 2016, Yorktown Police arrested the defendant on a charge of petit larceny. On June 1, 2017, the defendant failed to appear for a scheduled court date relating to the petit larceny case and a Bench Warrant was subsequently issued. On July 24, 2018 Yorktown Police responded to Riker’s Island Correctional Center where the defendant was in custody on unrelated charges. Officer Ellsworth and Det. Tausz responded to Riker’s Island Correctional Center and arrested the defendant on the two outstanding Bench Warrants. Following processing at the Yorktown Police Department, the defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26-year-old man from Mattapan, Massachusetts, on a Felony drug charge and several misdemeanor charges.
According to police on July 10, 2018 at about 4:23 PM, a call was received reporting a person in the roadway of Route 132 asking passing motorists to call 911. Officers were dispatched and met with the defendant, and a resident of Old Yorktown Road. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the defendant for an alleged domestic assault. Additional investigation and a K9 search of the defendant’s car led to the discovery of what is alleged to be: Cocaine, Oxycodone and Marihuana-all allegedly possessed by the defendant. Following processing at police headquarters, the defendant was arraigned in the Yorktown Town Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia, who issued a temporary order of protection for the victim. The defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail, in lieu of $7,500.00 cash bail. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Bronx man, who is charged with Identity Theft 1st Degree, a Class D FELONY, Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a Class D FELONY and Attempted Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D FELONY.
Police report that on July 11, 2018 at about 3:45 PM they responded to the Commerce St Chase Bank on a reported ID Theft in progress. Officers Pavletich and Garcia were dispatched to investigate. Bank personnel informed police that they had been notified by another bank branch that earlier today the defendant had allegedly tried to withdraw money from another person’s account and he currently was allegedly attempting to do the same at their branch. As a result of the investigation the defendant was arrested and charged with allegedly using the identity of another person, possessing a forged instrument, a NYS driver’s license and a credit/debit card, and attempted grand larceny for attempting to withdraw funds from the account. Following his arrest and processing the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia and remanded to the Westchester County Jail, no bail, to appear on July 24, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 39 year old Peekskill man, who is charged with Identity Theft 2nd Degree, a Class E FELONY and Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a Class D FELONY.
Police report that on June 26, 2018 they received a report from the Polk County Florida Sheriff’s Department, that one of their residents was a victim of ID theft. Investigation in Florida revealed that one place the identity was used was Yorktown. Det. Davis continued the investigation and was able to identify the defendant as a suspect. As a result of the investigation the defendant was arrested and charged with allegedly using the identity of another person and possessing a forged instrument, a NYS driver’s license. Following his arrest and processing the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia and released on $2,500 cash bail to appear on July 24, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 25 year old Bedford Hills man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and disobeying a traffic control device, a traffic infraction.
Police report that on July 11, 2018 at about 9:44 AM PO Garcia was patrolling on Kitchawan Rd when he observed the defendant operating a motor vehicle that allegedly disobeyed a traffic control device. A traffic stop was initiated and a DMV checked showed the defendant’s license was allegedly suspended for failure to pay NYS drivers assessment fee. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later released on $100 cash bail to appear on August 14, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
