Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30 year old Mahopac man, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.
According to police, on July 8th, 2018 at approximately 1:58 PM, P.O. Curtis while on routine patrol on East Main Street observed a vehicle being driven on East Main Street which was allegedly uninspected and unregistered. A vehicle and traffic stop was conducted and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant, a passenger in the vehicle was allegedly in possession of marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charge and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 9th, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26 year old Peekskill man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3RD degree, a Class D Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3RD degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.
On July 05, 2018 at approximately 03:31 PM Yorktown Police received information, via a hotline message from Peekskill PD, that a vehicle that was just stolen out of Peekskill was travelling Eastbound on Crompond Rd. in Yorktown. Several Officers were dispatched to Crompond Rd in an attempt to locate the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was able to track the vehicle by GPS and continued to update police with the location of the vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently located on Croton Lake Rd. by Sgt Rapisarda and P.O. Garcia. An investigation on scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of the vehicle reported stolen out of Peekskill NY, allegedly operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was also in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo who set bail at $1000.00 cash or $5000.00 bond which the defendant could not post. He was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on July 19, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 56 year old Ossining man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, Unregistered vehicle, Uninsured Vehicle, Expired Inspection, Inadequate brake lights, all traffic infractions.
On July 2, 2018 at about 04:50 PM, P.O. M. Caprio was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle that was allegedly equipped with inadequate brake lights and a traffic stop was initiated. The operator was identified by his Identification Card and a computer check revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating the vehicle while his privilege to drive in the State of New York was suspended for failing to pay child support. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was allegedly not registered or insured, and had an expired inspection sticker. The defendant was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on August 2, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Criminal Mischief In The Third Degree, a Class E Felony.
According to police on July 1st 2018 at 2:34pm a call was received from a female resident of Stony St reporting a domestic incident. Officers Curtin and Curtis were dispatched to the scene at which time an investigation was conducted which revealed that the male defendant intentionally damaged a television set jointly owned with the female resident of Stony St. The defendant, who had left the scene prior to the arrival of the officers, was located on Stony Manor Court and placed under arrest in reference to the incident at 3:05 pm. Following processing on the aforementioned charge, the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia, who issued a temporary order of protection, and released him on $500 cash bail. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 24 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Third Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor. The suspect is also charged with the following Traffic Violations, Fail to Maintain Lane, and Leave Scene Property Damage Auto Accident.
According to police on July 1st 2018 at 3:30am they responded to a property damage auto accident on Hunterbrook Rd. Officer Peters was dispatched to the scene and observed an unoccupied 2003 Volkswagen that had collided with an earth embankment. A computer check of the vehicles registration, along with further investigation, by Officer Peters revealed the identity of the driver. The computer check also revealed that the defendant's NYS driver’s license was allegedly suspended. On July 1st 2018 at 7:30 am Officer Peters arrested the defendant outside of his residence in reference to the incident. Following processing at the scene, the defendant was issued traffic summons and then released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to answer said charges in Yorktown Court on August 2nd 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
