Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 76 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Making Graffiti, a Class A Misdemeanor and Possession of Graffiti Instruments, a Class B Misdemeanor.
Police report that on July 24, 2019 at approximately 10:23 PM they received a report of the defendant making Graffiti on Curry Street in the area of Route 6. PO Ellsworth responded and observed the defendant allegedly holding a spray can while spray painting the pavement of Curry Street. The defendant was processed on the above charges, issued an appearance ticket and later released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on September 3, 2019 at 06:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 42 year old male from Yorktown, NY who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, driving with a BAC of .18 or greater, both Misdemeanors, as well as Failing to Obey a Traffic Control Device, a traffic infraction.
On July 25, 2019 at approximately 10:55 AM, P.O. Premuto and P.O.Chaparro conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Gomer Street for a vehicle that had allegedly failed to obey a traffic control device. Investigation at the scene identified the male operator as the defendant by his New York drivers license. Further investigation also alleges that the defendant was Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was arrested at the scene for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. Once at Yorktown Police Department, it is further alleged that the defendant was Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18 or greater. The defendant was processed at police headquarters on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a family member. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 8, 2019 at 6:00 PM to answer the charges. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 24 year old Buchanan, NY resident who is charged with Petit Larceny & Making Graffiti, Class A Misdemeanors.
Police report that on July 15, 2019 at approximately 11:30 AM they received a report of a shoplifting complaint at AC Moore where two suspects had allegedly stolen 16 cans of spray paint, valued at $119.84, and fled the scene. Det. Shanahan and PO Hannigan were assigned to investigate. A description of a possible vehicle used to flee the scene was broadcast to area Police Departments. A short while later a Peekskill patrol unit spotted the vehicle which was occupied by Vines-Meve. Some of the allegedly stolen property was located in the vehicle. After arrest processing by Peeksill PD, Yorktown Officers responded to Peekskill PD to arrest Vines-Mevec for the Petit Larceny. Continuing investigation by Yorktown Officers resulted in Vines-Mevec being charged with Making Graffiti for allegedly spray painting graffiti on the sound barrier on Rt 6 in April 2019. The defendant was processed on the above charges, issued an appearance ticket and later released on $100.00 cash bail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on August 15, 2019 at 06:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 55 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Police report that, on June 27, 2019, P.O. Woodard was dispatched to Yorktown Police Headquarters for a report of a past larceny at Lowes. Investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly stole merchandise from Lowes on June 22, 2019 at approximately 7:25 PM, totaling $1,148.00. The defendant was identified during the investigation and turned himself into Yorktown Police Department on July 18, 2019 at about 9:57 PM. The defendant was processed on the above charge and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on August 22, 2019 at 06:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 37 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree, an unclassified misdemeanor and Moved from Lane Unsafely, a Traffic Infraction.
According to Police, on July 9, 2018 at approximately 7:31 PM, Yorktown officers were on patrol on Curry St. when they observed a vehicle allegedly cross the double yellow line and a traffic stop was conducted. An investigation by the officers was conducted at the scene which revealed that the defendant’s license was suspended for failure to answer a summons and a subsequent investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly was in possession of a quantity of heroin. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. At Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and released on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice court on August 1, 2019 at 6pm. |
