Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 23 year old Putnam Valley, NY, resident who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation and Failure to Maintain Lane, a traffic infraction.
According to police, on July 13, 2020, at approximately 9:26 AM, officers responded to a report of an erratic operator. A vehicle matching the description was allegedly observed failing to maintain the proper lane of travel in the area of Wildwood Street. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while ability impaired by drugs, in possession of a quantity of Alprazolam, a controlled substance, and in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on her own recognizance to a responsible third party. She is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 27, 2020 at 6:00pm Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21 year old Yorktown, NY, resident who is charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree, a Class “D” Felony, Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, a Class “D” Felony and Prohibited use of a Weapon, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On July 12, 2020, at approximately 3:49 PM, Yorktown Police responded to a residence within the Town of Yorktown to investigate a report of gun shots fired into a residence. Following an investigation at the scene, it’s alleged the defendant discharged a rifle inside his residence and a bullet went through his residence, penetrated the siding of the victim’s home and came to rest in the interior of the victim’s home. It’s further alleged that the defendant caused damage in excess of $1,500.00 to the victim’s home. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 18, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 60 year old Yorktown Heights, NY resident, who is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated BAC .18% or Higher and Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as Improper Turn Without Signal and Failed to Keep Right, both Traffic Infractions.
On July 4, 2020 at approximately 1:51 PM P.O. Battista responded to Crompond Road on the report of a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner. P.O. Battista located the vehicle being operated on Hunterbrook Road and it’s alleged the vehicle failed to keep right and made an improper turn without signaling. P.O. Battista initiated a traffic stop and identified the defendant as the operator of the vehicle. After completing an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant was driving while intoxicated. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Upon further investigation at the Yorktown Police Department, it is alleged that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .18% or more. Following processing on the charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets for the above listed charges and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 23, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 19 year old Ossining, NY resident and an 18 year old Yorktown, NY resident who are charged with Attempted Criminal Mischief 4th Degree (Hate Crime), a Class “A” Misdemeanor and a 17 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge being Attempted Criminal Mischief 4th Degree (Hate Crime), a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
According to police, on June 30, 2020 at approximately 11:19 AM, the Yorktown Police received a report of an incident that had occurred at the Yeshiva Kehilath Yakov, located on Illington Road, on June 28, 2020, at approximately 12:21 AM. Following an investigation, it’s alleged that a group of youths in a vehicle stopped outside the front gate of the Yeshiva Kehilath Yakov and the 17 year old Juvenile allegedly scaled over the gate onto the Yeshiva Kehilath Yakov property and then scaled back over the gate returning to the top of the driveway. It is further alleged that the 17 year old Juvenile, the 18 year old whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for Youthful Offender Status and the 19 year old defendant proceeded to throw several rocks in the direction of the buildings while yelling at the residents. Between July 3rd and July 6th the three defendants were contacted and voluntarily turned themselves in at Yorktown Police Headquarters. Defendant #1 and #2 were processed and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia who issued a Temporary Order of Protection on behalf of the witness and released on their own recognizance. They are due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 18, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Defendant #3 was processed on the Juvenile Delinquency charge and is due to appear in the Westchester County Department of Probation on July 9th at 9:00 AM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 39 year old Peekskill, NY resident, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a class “B” Misdemeanor, and Criminal Contempt 1st degree, a class “E” Felony.
On June 30, 2020 at approximately 10:11 PM, Sgt. Dillon, P.O. Lizarzaburu and P.O. Paniccia responded to a residence located within the Town of Yorktown to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. Following an investigation at the scene, it’s alleged that the defendant attempted to cause physical injury to the victim by closed fist punching, slapping and knocking the victim to the ground. It is further alleged that defendant did punch, slap and knock the victim to the ground in violation of a duly served Order of Protection. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant was served a Temporary Order of Protection and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 18, 2020 at 6:00 PM. |
