Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year old Mount Kisco man, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Penal Law Violation, and for Illegal Window Tints, a Traffic Infraction.
According to police, on September 17, 2018 at approximately 9:13 pm, P.O. Caprio and P.O. David were on routine patrol on Route 202 when they observed a vehicle which had illegally tinted windows. A vehicle and traffic stop was conducted and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 18, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a forty-six year old Yorktown Heights man, on a charge of Trespass, a Penal Law Violation.
On September 20, 2018 at about 10:19 am, Yorktown Police responded the rear of the Triangle Shopping Center for a trespass complaint called into police headquarters by a maintenance worker for the property. After interviewing the maintenance worker and conducting an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant was trespassing on the property after being told that he was not allowed on the property by the same maintenance worker the day before. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. He was subsequently arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection in favor of the maintenance worker and released him on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 27, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 58 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Speed in Zone and Unlicensed Operator, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police, on September 21, 2018, at approximately 6:40 am, Officer Gregorio was on patrol on Underhill Avenue when he observed a gray Audi that was traveling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated and a computer check at the scene revealed that the driver was unlicensed and his privilege to drive in New York was suspended multiple times for failure to pay fines. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and then released on $100.00 cash bail. The defendant is scheduled to answer said charges in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 23, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year-old Baldwin Place man, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class “E” Felony and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On September 18, 2018, Yorktown Police Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a domestic incident that took place at the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot. Officers conducted an investigation and it was determined that the defendant violated a Town of Carmel Criminal Court Temporary Order of Protection. It was also determined that the defendant followed the victim to her vehicle where he grabbed the victim by the arm, causing her to drop her cell phone. It is further alleged that the defendant pushed the victim and picked up the victim's cell phone preventing her from calling 911 for assistance. The defendant was contacted and agreed to voluntarily surrender on the above charges. On September 24, 2018 at approximately 11:30 am the defendant arrived at Police Headquarters and was placed under arrest. Following arrest processing, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. The defendant was issued a Temporary Order of Protection protecting the victim and released after posting $2,500.00 bail. The defendant is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on September 25, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 46 year old Mount Vernon woman, who is charged with Identity Theft 1st Degree, a Class "D" Felony, Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a Class "D" Felony, and Attempted Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class "E" Felony.
On September 26, 2018 at about 2:17 pm, Yorktown Police were called to responded to the Chase Bank on Lee Blvd for a reported identity theft in progress. Officers Pietraniello and Curtin were dispatched to investigate. Bank personnel informed police that they had been notified by another bank branch that earlier today the defendant had tried to obtain a temporary ATM card from another person’s account and she currently was attempting to do the same at their branch. As a result of the investigation, the defendant was arrested and charged with using the identity of another person, possessing a forged instrument (a Connecticut State driver’s license) and attempted grand larceny for attempting to get a temporary ATM card for another customers account. Following her arrest and processing, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who set bail at $2,500.00 bond or $1,500.00 cash. The defendant was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Westchester County Jail. She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on October 2, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
