Yorktown Police report that a 55 year old Cortlandt Manor man was served with a Criminal Summons for an underlying charge of Harassment 2nd Degree, a Violation.
On October 2, 2018, Yorktown Police responded to 3636 Gomer Street for a harassment complaint. Yorktown Police patrol officers and detectives responded and conducted an investigation. Subsequent to their investigation, it is alleged that between October 12th and and October 21st, 2018 the defendant left voicemails on the victim’s voicemail system that served no legitimate purpose and caused the victim annoyance and alarm. At the victims’ request, a Criminal Summons was obtained from the Yorktown Justice Court for a charge of Harassment 2nd Degree. On November 13, 2018, the summons was then served to the defendant by Sgt. Rapisarda and Det. Tausz. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 27, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown police report the arrest of a 48 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Assault 3rd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
According to police, on November 7th 2018 at 3:07 pm, a call was received reporting a domestic dispute in progress at a Yorktown residence. Officers Pietraniello and Beyrer responded to the scene and conducted an investigation which revealed that a 48 year old male suspect pushed a female victim down a flight of steps, causing the victim to strike her head and sustain a laceration to her head. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. Following processing on the aforementioned charge, the defendant was held pending arraignment. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Croton-On-Hudson woman, who is charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession Of Controlled Substance 4th Degree, a Class "C" Felony.
According to police, on November 6, 2018 at approximately 10:11 pm, Officer Curtis stopped a vehicle on Baptist Church Rd for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, Officer Curtis developed information that led to the arrest of a passenger in the car for possessing in excess of 25 grams of marijuana and a hallucinogenic substance, psilocybin mushrooms. The female passenger was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Following processing, she was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who released her on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on December 4, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a a 28 year old Yorktown NY man, who is charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, both Class “A” Misdemeanors.
On November 8, 2018 at approximately 7:20 PM, Officers responded to a residence in Yorktown to investigate a report of a physical domestic dispute that occurred. Police conducted an investigation that revealed that the defendant threw a chair at the victim causing a physical injury. It is also alleged that the defendant applied pressure to the neck and throat using his hands making it hard for the victim to breath. On November 9, 2018 at approximately 8:00 AM the defendant turned himself in at Yorktown Police Department where he was arrested on the above charges. The defendant was processed on the above charges, and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. The defendant was served a Temporary Order of Protection and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 13, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown residents are reminded that the Town of Yorktown Overnight Parking Restriction begins on November 20th. According to the Yorktown Town Code, "no vehicle shall be parked, stored or left standing on any town street or highway at any time between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. during the period from the 20th of November to the 20th day of April in each year.
