Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Peekskill, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Driving While Intoxicated BAC .08% or More, which are both Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as Failed to Use Designated Lane and using a hand held mobile device, both Traffic Infractions.
According to Police, on October 24, 2019, at approximately 10:28 PM, Sgt. Kolkmann, P.O. Campion and P.O. Rana responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on Route 6. Upon arrival they observed a black pick up truck which had struck a guard rail. The alleged driver was sitting in the vehicle and was identified as the defendant. After an investigation at the scene, it was determined that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated while using a cell phone. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Upon the completion of a breath test at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant allegedly had a BAC greater than .08%. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and released on her own recognizance to a responsible party. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 7, 2019, at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 51 year old Cortlandt Manor, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or more, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, an E Felony and backing unsafely a Traffic Infraction.
On October 19, 2019, at approximately 08:06 PM, Sgt. Rapisarda observed a vehicle that was allegedly backing unsafely down the Bear Mountain Extension ramp to the Taconic Parkway and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop. The defendant was identified as the operator and an investigation on scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08% or more and was also charged for allegedly driving with a suspended license. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters. Upon arrival at Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and released on $200.00 cash bail to a responsible party. He is due back in Yorktown Court on October 29, 2019 at 06:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21 year old Yonkers, NY resident who is charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony.
According to police, on November 2, 2019, at approximately 1:05 AM, Officer Houlihan was conducting a routine check of the businesses on Commerce Street when he drove behind the CVS building. He observed a female, later identified as the defendant, standing between a Honda Civic and a storage container with its door open. Officer Houlihan was able to notice that the storage container was filled with boxes that were similar to boxes inside of the Civic. The female then got into the driver seat of the Civic, at which time Officer Houlihan approached her and began speaking to her. After an investigation on scene, it is alleged that the female unlawfully entered the storage container, which belonged to CVS, and removed numerous boxes of merchandise, totaling $747.27, then placed them in her vehicle without permission or authority to do so and without paying for the merchandise. The female was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Following processing at Police Headquarters, the female was arraigned by Judge Lagonia who released her on her own recognizance. She is due in Yorktown Justice Court on November 12, 2019 6:00PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 35 year old male from Newburgh, NY, a 38 year old male from Monticello, NY and a 32 year old female from Wallkill, NY who are all charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony.
Police report that, on October 28, 2019 at approximately 8:47 PM they received a report of three shoplifters fleeing the scene from Macy’s in a vehicle. Yorktown Officers located the vehicle on Route 6 and initiated a traffic stop at 250 Mahopac Ave. An investigation was conducted and it is alleged that the defendants did leave Macy’s without paying for merchandise valued at $1,010.00. The defendants were arrested for Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The defendants were processed on the above charge and issued an appearance ticket. Both males were released on $100.00 cash bail and the female was released on her own recognizance. The defendants are due to appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on December 3, 2019 at 06:00 PM. |
