Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31 year old Yorktown, NY, resident who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor (2 counts), and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, a Violation.
According to police, on December 14, 2020, at approximately 6:49 PM, Officer Ellsworth and several other officers responded to a report of a two car accident on Underhill Ave. Upon arrival, officers located both drivers and vehicles and initiated an investigation. The defendant was identified as one of the drivers involved in the accident. At the completion of the investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant was operating a vehicle while his ability was impaired by drugs. It is further alleged that the defendant unlawfully possessed Suboxone, Oxycodone and Marijuana. It is also alleged that the defendant failed to keep right and left the scene of a property damage auto accident. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. After processing was completed, the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above traffic offenses and an appearance for the above penal law offenses. The defendant was released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on January 5, 2021, at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 20-year-old male from New Rochelle NY, who is charged with 4 counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, eac a Class "E" Felony.
Police report that on July 8, 2020 at about 3:13 AM they responded to multiple reports of larcenies from motor vehicles in the area of Barberry Road. Investigation by police revealed that the defendant allegedly stole multiple credit cards from unlocked vehicles. On December 10, 2020, Yorktown Police were advised that the defendant was in custody at the Westchester County Department of Public Safety on an unrelated charge. Officer Curtis and Detective Swart responded to the Westchester County Department of Public Safety headquarters where the defendant was placed under arrest. The defendant was transported to the Yorktown Police Department and processed on the above charges. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on January 5, 2021 at 6:00PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 35 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Forgery 2nd Degree, both Class "D" Felonies, and the arrest of a 22 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, both Class "D" Felonies.
According to police, on October 19, 2020 at approximately 5:11 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a larceny. Officer Campion responded to meet with the victim and initiated an investigation. Following an investigation, it is alleged that between July, 2020 and September, 2020 multiple checks belonging to the victim had been stolen and deposited into someone else’s account without the victim’s knowledge. It is further alleged that more than $30,000 had been stolen from the victim. After several weeks of investigation by Officer Campion and Detective Shanahan, two suspects were identified. On December 5, 2020, the defendants responded to the Yorktown Police Department and following further investigation both defendants were placed under arrest. It is alleged that Defendant #1 stole multiple checks from the victim and forged her signature on them and it is alleged that Defendant # 2 possessed the forged checks and deposited the checks into an account. After arrest processing was completed, the defendants were arraigned on the above charges by the Honorable Gary Raniolo and a Temporary Orders of Protection were issued to both defendants on behalf of the victim. Both defendants were released on their own recognizance and are due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on January 14, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 52 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a Class “B” Misdemeanor, and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On December 7, 2020 at approximately 11:46 am, members of the Yorktown Police Department responded to a Yorktown residence to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. Following an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant threw a piece of furniture at the victim, allegedly in an attempt to cause physical injury. It is also alleged that the defendant disabled and broke a telephone, in an attempt to keep the victim from calling 911. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. The defendant was served a Temporary Order of Protection and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on January 14, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 34 year old Stamford, Connecticut man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Auto Accident and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police, on December 7, 2020 at approximately 11:25 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a single car motor vehicle accident. Officer Uhl responded to the scene and identified the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident as the defendant. An investigation was then conducted at the scene, which alleged that the defendant struck a stone wall with his vehicle at another location and left the scene of the accident. It is also alleged that the defendant was in possession of an open container of alcohol in his vehicle and that he was driving his vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. After processing was completed, the defendant was issued a traffic tickets for the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on December 17, 2020 at 6:00 pm. |
