Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 59-year-old Cortlandt Manor, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 3rd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, as well as, Vehicle and Traffic violations: Operating without Insurance, Improper Plates, Permitting the Use of Improper Plates, Side Windows Not Transparent, and Unregistered Motor Vehicle, all traffic infractions.
On May 08, 2025 at approximately 01:29 PM, Officer Campion was conducting routine patrol in the area of Route 6 and the Taconic State Parkway when he observed a vehicle traveling Eastbound on Route 6 with tinted windows and an apparently fraudulent license plate. A traffic stop was initiated on the Taconic State Parkway and the operator was identified as the defendant. An investigation was conducted and Police allege the defendant had two forged New York license plates on his vehicle as if they were legitimate. It is further alleged that the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. After arrest processing was completed the defendant was issued an Appearance Ticket and Uniform Traffic Tickets. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 27, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
