Mahopac Resident charged with DWI

​Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 71-year-old Mahopac, NY resident, who is charged with driving while intoxicated BAC .08 % or more of alcohol an unclassified misdemeanor, driving while intoxicated an unclassified misdemeanor, as well as, failed to use designated lane and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, both traffic infractions.
 
According to police, on January 31, 2025 at about 6:19 PM, PO Lizarzaburu was dispatched to the area of Route 6 and Windsor Road for a possible motor vehicle accident. An investigation was conducted at the scene. The operator of the vehicle involved was identified as the defendant. Investigation revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
 
Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on February 11, 2025 at 6:00 PM.
