Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 51-year-old, Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, a Class “C” Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, defaced firearm, a Class “D” Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, intent to use, a Class “C” Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, previous conviction, a Class “D” Felony, Menacing 2nd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On February 12, 2025 at approximately 7:28 PM, the Yorktown Police Department responded to a report of menacing with a firearm. An investigation was conducted and it was determined that the defendant and the victim got into a physical altercation. During the altercation, it is alleged that the defendant displayed a loaded firearm and pointed it at the victim. The firearm was recovered as a result of the investigation. Upon further investigation, it is alleged that the firearm was unlawfully possessed by the defendant with the intent to use it, the serial number on the firearm was defaced, the defendant was previously convicted of a crime, and the firearm was in a location which endangered the welfare of a child. After processing was completed the defendant was arraigned at the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Raniolo, remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections, and is due back to answer the above charges on 02/18/25 at 6:00 PM.
