Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 34-year-old Lewisboro, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell 3rd Degree, both of which are Class B Felonies.
Yorktown Police report that on October 23, 2023, at approximately 9:31 PM, Yorktown Police responded to a residence on Baldwin Road for an apparent overdose. Upon arrival and despite extraordinary lifesaving efforts on scene by Yorktown Patrol Officers, Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corp, and Empress Paramedics, the victim was pronounced deceased. Yorktown Police Detectives Hannigan and Curtis were assigned to investigate the incident. Upon conclusion of the investigation it is alleged that the defendant did possess and sell a quantity of Fentanyl to the victim which allegedly resulted in the Victim’s death. On 1/11/24 the defendant was located outside of his residence and was taken into custody by the Yorktown Police Detective Division. The defendant was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters where he was processed on the above listed charges. After processing on the above charges, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Cohen-Pierson in the Yorktown Justice Court. Bail was set in the amount of $100,000 cash, $200,000 bond, or $300,000 partially secured bond. The defendant, unable to post bail at this time, was remanded to Westchester County Jail. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on January 25, 2024 at 1800 hours. The investigation was assisted by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Forensic Investigation Unit as well as the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. |
