Yorktown Police report the arrest of a thirty-two year old Yorktown man who is charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation and Menacing in the 2nd Degree, both Class “A” Misdemeanors.
On April 23, 2018 at about 7:21 am, Yorktown Police responded to a 911 call from a Stony Street residence reporting an altercation in progress. Subsequent to the officers’ investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant choked a male victim and allegedly threatened to kill him while displaying a large kitchen knife. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. The defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 3, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year old man who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd an Unclassified Misdemeanor, No/Inadequate Brake/Stop Lamps, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Uninspected Motor Vehicle, traffic violations.
On April 19, 2018 at about 2:36 PM while on routine patrol P.O. Woodard conducted a traffic stop on Crompond Road. The defendant was identified via a New York State drivers license. It is alleged that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle with no/inadequate brake/stop lamps. A routine NYSPIN check of the defendant revealed that he was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended 8 times (7 on 5 dates) for failing to answer summonses, failing to pay fines and failing to pay drivers responsibility. It is also alleged that the motor vehicle the defendant was operating was unregistered and uninspected. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 17, 2018 at 6:00PM to answer the charges. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year old Peekskill man on 2 bench warrants issued by the Yorktown Justice Court for Failure to appear in connection with the charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd.
On April 17, 2018 at 06:00 PM it is alleged that the defendant missed a scheduled court appearance in Yorktown Court and 2 bench warrants were issued. On April 20, 2018 at approximately 07:45 PM the defendant responded to Police Headquarters and was arrested on the warrant. The defendant was processed and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo, who released him on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on April , 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Mohegan Lake resident, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated BAC .08% or More, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation, Fail to Maintain Lane and Driving Left of the Pavement Markings, both Traffic Infractions.
Police report that on April 18, 2018 at approximately 2:38 AM, P.O. Battista observed a vehicle that allegedly failed to maintain the designated lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated and in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. Upon arrival at Headquarters, a further investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly operated his vehicle with a BAC of .08% or more. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 3, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
