Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 19 year old Mahopac man, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation, Fail to Signal a Turn and Less Than Two Headlights, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police, on May 28, 2018 at approximately 02:05 AM, P.O. Battista while on routine patrol on Route 6 observed a vehicle which allegedly failed to signal a turn and had an inoperable headlight. A vehicle and traffic stop was conducted and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a thirty-eight year old Verplanck man, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation, and Improper Use of a Dealer’s License Plate, a Traffic Infraction.
On May 27, 2018 at about 2:45 pm, Officer Curtin was on routine patrol on Route 6 in Mohegan Lake when he observed a vehicle without a New York State safety inspection sticker or front license plate. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as the defendant. Investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating the vehicle improperly with a car dealer's license plate and allegedly in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. The defendant was issued a traffic ticket and an appearance ticket at the scene. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 28, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 23 year old Mahopac man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Speeding and Disobeying Traffic Control Device, both being traffic infractions.
On May 25, 2018 at about 11:03 PM while on routine patrol P.O. Fortunato conducted a traffic stop on Route 6 in Mohegan Lake. The defendant was identified via a New York State drivers license. It is alleged that the defendant failed to obey a traffic control device and was speeding. A routine NYSPIN check of the defendant revealed that he was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended one time for persistent violator. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM to answer the charges. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 53 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A Misdemeanor and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle 3RD degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
On May 25, 2018 at approximately 05:38 PM Officers Hannigan and Doherty were on routine patrol on Rt 6 when they observed a vehicle which was allegedly missing a front plate and an obstructed rear plate. Officers initiated a vehicle and traffic stop and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving with a suspended license and allegedly in possession of a quantity of Acetaminophen/Oxycodone pills. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. At Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM for arraignment. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Assault in the 3RD Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On May 23, 2018 at approximately 11:11 PM, Yorktown Police responded to a Yorktown residence for a call of an active domestic with possible injuries. Upon arrival an investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly struck the victim with her hands and an ice scraper causing injuries to the victim. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia who issued a temporary order of protection protecting the victim. The defendant was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 05, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
