Drug Possession/Suspended License Arrest

​Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 53 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A Misdemeanor and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle 3RD degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
 
On May 25, 2018 at approximately 05:38 PM Officers Hannigan and Doherty were on routine patrol on Rt 6 when they observed a vehicle which was allegedly missing a front plate and an obstructed rear plate.  Officers initiated a vehicle and traffic stop and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving with a suspended license and allegedly in possession of a quantity of Acetaminophen/Oxycodone pills.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.
 
At Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance.  He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM for arraignment.
