Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 60 year old Yorktown man who is charged with two counts of Menacing in the Second Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
According to Yorktown Police, on May 4, 2020 at around 1:00 pm, Officer Palladino and several other Yorktown Police Officers responded to a report of a domestic incident. After an investigation was conducted at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant menaced two victims with a hatchet. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. Following processing, the defendant was arraigned on the above charges by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the two victims. The defendant was then released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 2, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 32 year old man from New Fairfield, CT, who is charged with Menacing in the Second Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On January 31, 2020, Officer Hannigan took a report of road rage incident that took place in the area Rutledge Drive. The victim told police that at approximately 4:45 pm, the defendant pointed a black colored AR-15-style rifle at him following a road rage incident. Yorktown Police were able to identify a suspect, who voluntarily surrendered himself at Yorktown Police Department Headquarters on April 28, 2020. The defendant was placed under arrest and charged with Menacing in the Second degree. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. A Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim and the defendant was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 18, 2020 at 6:00 pm. |
