Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 32-year-old Hampton, New Hampshire resident, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On March 14, 2022 at about 6:28 pm, Yorktown Police responded to a residence in the Town of Yorktown on a report of a violation of an Order of Protection. PO Dinotte was assigned to investigate the incident, which revealed that the defendant allegedly violated a duly served Town of Yorktown Justice Court Order of Protection by contacting the protected party. Initial attempts to locate the defendant were unsuccessful. On March 24, 2022 the defendant voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters and PO Ellsworth placed him under arrest. The defendant was processed at Yorktown Police Headquarters and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Cohen-Pierson. Following arraignment, the defendant was released on his own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM. School Resource Officers Arrest Two Peekskill Juveniles Caught Trespassing at Yorktown High School3/18/2022
Yorktown Police report the arrest of two-fourteen year old males from Peekskill, New York. Defendant 1 is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charges if committed by an adult being Criminal Trespass, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration. Defendant 2 is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge if committed by an adult being Criminal Trespass.
On March 17, 2022, Yorktown High School Resource Officer Doerr was alerted by school staff that there were two unidentified juveniles on the campus. Officer Doerr and Mildred E. Strang Middle School Resource Officer Mundy located the juveniles and began an investigation. Subsequent to their investigation, it is alleged that both juvenile defendants were criminally trespassing on school property. Additionally, it is alleged that Defendant 1 obstructed governmental administration during the course of the investigation and then allegedly resisted arrest. Both defendants were taken into custody and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. Both defendants were issued a Juvenile Appearance Ticket in the presence of their parents directing them to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on March 22, 2022 at 9:00 am. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 23 year old New York City resident, who is charged with Reckless Driving, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer 3rd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, as well as numerous traffic violations.
According to Police, on March 15th, 2022 at approximately 8:54 AM Officer Premuto was on patrol when he observed a vehicle allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed on Underhill Avenue. Officer Premuto further observed the vehicle travel westbound on Underhill Avenue and allegedly fail to stop at the stop sign located at the intersection of Underhill Avenue & Route 129 and turn without signaling. Officer Premuto attempted to initiate a vehicle traffic stop by activating his emergency lights, however, it’s alleged that the vehicle failed to comply and continued to travel westbound on Route 129, allegedly driving in a reckless manner while committing numerous traffic violations. The vehicle turned onto Hunterbrook Road and eventually stopped in a driveway on Hunterbrook Road, where the defendant was taken into police custody. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters for arrest processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on March 31st, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31 year old Hampton, New Hampshire man, who is charged with Assault 3rd Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, all Class “A” Misdemeanors, and being a Felony Fugitive from Justice as defined in the New York State Criminal Procedure Law.
On February 27, 2022 at about 2:54 pm, Yorktown Police responded to a Mohegan Lake residence for a report of a domestic incident in progress. Responding units contacted the victim, who stated that the suspect had just fled the scene. Other responding Yorktown Police units observed the suspect’s vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 6 and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection with the Taconic State Parkway. Subsequent to an investigation at the original scene, the defendant was placed under arrest. It is alleged that the defendant threw a female victim to the ground, punched her in the face and obstructed her breathing by applying pressure to her throat. After placing the defendant under arrest, it is also alleged that he was illegally in possession of a quantity of both Oxycontin and Xanax. The suspect was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. During arrest processing the defendant was fingerprinted, and it’s alleged that the defendant had an open extraditable felony warrant issued in New Hampshire. The defendant was charged as a Fugitive From Justice and arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. The defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail on the Fugitive From Justice charge. Additionally, the defendant was remanded in lieu of $10,000 cash bail / $25,000 secured bond / $100,000 partial secured bond stemming from the three domestic violence-related charges. The defendant is due to virtually appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 1, 2022 at 5:30 pm. |
