New Hampshire Man Charged with Criminal Contempt

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 32-year-old Hampton, New Hampshire resident, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
 
On March 14, 2022 at about 6:28 pm, Yorktown Police responded to a residence in the Town of Yorktown on a report of a violation of an Order of Protection. PO Dinotte was assigned to investigate the incident, which revealed that the defendant allegedly violated a duly served Town of Yorktown Justice Court Order of Protection by contacting the protected party. Initial attempts to locate the defendant were unsuccessful.  On March 24, 2022 the defendant voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters and PO Ellsworth placed him under arrest.
 
The defendant was processed at Yorktown Police Headquarters and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Cohen-Pierson. Following arraignment, the defendant was released on his own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM.
