Mohegan Lake Man Charged with Robbery

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree, a Class "B" Felony.
 
On August 18, 2022 at about 2:58 AM, Yorktown Police were notified by Carmel PD about a report of a domestic incident that occurred in the Town of Yorktown.  PO Murphy was dispatched and conducted an investigation.  Following an investigation, it’s alleged that the defendant forcibly stole an iPhone 11 and Apple Watch having a total value of $1,500.00 from the victim and in the course of the commission of the crime it is further alleged that the defendant threatened the victim with a hammer.  At 8:51 AM PO Murphy placed the defendant under arrest and transported the defendant to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
 
The defendant was processed at Yorktown Police Headquarters and later arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by Judge Gary Raniolo, who set bail at $25,000 cash, $50,000 secure bond or $75,000 unsecured bond.  The defendant was able to post bail and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 23, 2022 at 6:00 pm.  

Tinted Window Violation Leads to Felony Drug Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21-year-old Peekskill NY woman, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, a Class “C” Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Excessive Window Tint, a Traffic Infraction.
 
On August 16, 2022 at 8:00 PM, while conducting traffic enforcement on East Main St. Officer Hannigan observed a vehicle which allegedly had excessively tinted windows.  Officer Hannigan conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the driver as the defendant.  After a DMV check of the defendant’s license was performed it is alleged that the defendant’s license was suspended.  An investigation was completed at the scene during which a narcotics K9 positively indicated to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.  A probable cause search of the vehicle was completed and it is further alleged that the defendant was in possession of a quantity of marijuana, a quantity of marijuana products, and a quantity psilocybin.  The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing.
 
The defendant was processed on the above charge and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo.  The defendant was released on her own recognizance and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 23, 2022 at 6:00 PM.
