Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21-year-old Peekskill NY woman, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, a Class “C” Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Excessive Window Tint, a Traffic Infraction.
On August 16, 2022 at 8:00 PM, while conducting traffic enforcement on East Main St. Officer Hannigan observed a vehicle which allegedly had excessively tinted windows. Officer Hannigan conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the driver as the defendant. After a DMV check of the defendant’s license was performed it is alleged that the defendant’s license was suspended. An investigation was completed at the scene during which a narcotics K9 positively indicated to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was completed and it is further alleged that the defendant was in possession of a quantity of marijuana, a quantity of marijuana products, and a quantity psilocybin. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The defendant was processed on the above charge and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo. The defendant was released on her own recognizance and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 23, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
