Yorktown Police report the arrest of 57 year old Yorktown man on a charge of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class "E" Felony.
On 8/14/2017 P.O. Ellsworth was assigned to investigate a larceny complaint made by the defendant. The defendant alleged that he ordered a Gold Leaf Telecaster Guitar valued at approximately $9,500.00 from Musician's Friend online and then claimed he did not receive it. Investigation revealed that the guitar was delivered by UPS and that the defendant subsequently reported to the seller that he never received it. Following the investigation, on 12/13/2017 at 11:02 am the defendant voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree. Following processing on the charge, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance. He is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on January 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30 year old Yorktown Heights man who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On December 6, 2017, at approximately 8:11 pm, Yorktown Police responded to a residence on Hitching Post Lane on a report of a two people who had overdosed on drugs. Following an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that one of the overdose victims was at the residence in violation of a duly served order of protection issued by the Yorktown Justice Court. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center for treatment. After being released from the hospital, P.O. Fortunato transported the defendant to police headquarters for processing. After arrest processing, the defendant was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Gary Raniolo, who remanded the defendant to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. The defendant is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on December 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31 year old Somers resident who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On December 7th, 2017, a report was received from a motorist at Toys 'R Us that two children have been left alone in a car for 15 minutes. Upon arrival, Officer Garcia conducted an investigation and located the defendant a few minutes later exiting Toys 'R Us. It is alleged that the defendant left her 2 year old child and her 8 month old child unattended in her vehicle while she shopped inside the store. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene. She was processed, arraigned in the Yorktown Town Court by Judge Raniolo and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on December 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of 66 year old Yorktown, who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class "A" Misdemeanor and Public Lewdness, a Class "B" Misdemeanor.
On November 18th, 2017, police responded to Club Fit for a report from a 16 year old employee that a male patron exposed himself to her the previous night in the swimming pool area. PO Curtis responded and conducted an investigation. The victim identified the defendant and alleged that he engaged her in a conversation that was inappropriate and then pulled his bathing suit down to his knees, exposing himself. The defendant voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters on December 2, 2017 at about 11:05 am, where he was arrested and charged. He was processed, released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on December 7, 2017 at 6:00 pm for arraignment. |
