Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31 year old Somers resident who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On December 7th, 2017, a report was received from a motorist at Toys 'R Us that two children have been left alone in a car for 15 minutes. Upon arrival, Officer Garcia conducted an investigation and located the defendant a few minutes later exiting Toys 'R Us. It is alleged that the defendant left her 2 year old child and her 8 month old child unattended in her vehicle while she shopped inside the store. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene. She was processed, arraigned in the Yorktown Town Court by Judge Raniolo and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on December 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm.
