Yorktown Man Arrested After Exposing Himself to a Woman & Child in the Triangle Shopping Center7/29/2018
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 59 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, Exposure of a Person, a Violation, Speed in Zone, Inadequate Headlights and Fail to Maintain Lane, all Traffic Violations.
According to Police, on July 28, 2018 at approximately 7:09 pm, a report was received that a male exposed himself to a woman and child walking in a Triangle Shopping Center parking lot near CVS. PO Palladino responded and conducted an investigation, which revealed that the defendant, while parked in the parking lot, stood outside of his vehicle facing the victims with his shorts down to his knees, exposing the private/intimate parts of his body in a lewd manner. The defendant fled the scene before the Officer Palladino arrived and several other officers began looking for the suspect. A few minutes later, PO Beyrer located the defendant's vehicle on Route 6, and observed several traffic violations. Officers conducted an investigation and the defendant was placed under arrest and was transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The defendant was processed and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. The defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 7, 2018 at 6:00 pm for arraignment. Yorktown Police report the arrest of an eighteen year old Mohegan Lake man and a twenty year old Peekskill man, who are each charged with one count of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.
On July 29, 2018 at about 11:35 am, PO Woodard was on routine patrol in the area of the Subway restaurant on Crompond Rd. While patrolling the parking lot, PO Woodard observed what appeared to be a “hand-to-hand” drug transaction. PO Woodard approached a parked car and identified the occupants. Subsequent to further investigation, it is alleged that both defendants were in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendants were both issued Appearance Tickets and released from the scene on their own recognizance. They are both scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 28, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 48 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Petit Larceny and Unlawfully Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle, both Class "A" Misdemeanors, Driving while Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, along with numerous Vehicle and Traffic Violations.
Police report that on July 25, 2018, while at the Shell Gas Station located at 930 East Main Street, a Yorktown Police Officer observed the defendant steal several food items from the store and leave in a motor vehicle. The suspect's vehicle was spotted a short time later by PO Campion, who attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the defendant allegedly fled from the officer. After a brief pursuit, the defendant eventually stopped in a driveway of on Old Yorktown Rd (Route 132), where he was taken into custody without incident by the responding officers. Further investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was Driving While Intoxicated. He refused to submit to a breath test and was in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. At Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant was processed on the above charges and released on $250.00 cash bail. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 9, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 35 year old Peekskill man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation and Unlicensed Driver, Expired Registration, Unlawful Tinted Windows and Open Container of an Alcoholic Beverage Within a Motor Vehicle, all Traffic Infractions.
According to Police, P.O. Caprio was on routine patrol on Crompond Rd when he observed a vehicle being operated with unlawful tinted windows and a traffic stop was initiated. An investigation was conducted at the scene by P.O. Caprio and P.O. Campion, along with the assistance of K9 Spar, which revealed that the defendant was in possession of a quantity of Cocaine and Marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. At Headquarters, the defendant was processed on the above charges and released on $250.00 cash bail. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice on August 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26 year old Poughkeepsie man on a Bench Warrant issued by the Yorktown Justice Court for Failure to Appear in connection with the charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On July 10, 2018 at 6:00 pm, it is alleged that the defendant missed a scheduled court appearance in Yorktown Justice Court and a bench warrant was issued. On July 25, 2018 the defendant was in the custody of NYS Park Police Department on unrelated charges. P.O. Ellsworth and P.O. Paniccia took the defendant into custody on the warrant and transported him to The Yorktown Justice Court to appear before Judge Lagonia. The defendant was processed and arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. He was unable to post $500 cash bail and was remanded to Westchester County Department of Corrections. He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 7, 2018. |
