Two Men Charged with Marijuana Possession After Police Officer Witnesses Hand-to-Hand Drug Transaction

Yorktown Police report the arrest of an eighteen year old Mohegan Lake man and a twenty year old Peekskill man, who are each charged with one count of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.
 
On July 29, 2018 at about 11:35 am, PO Woodard was on routine patrol in the area of the Subway restaurant on Crompond Rd.  While patrolling the parking lot, PO Woodard observed what appeared to be a “hand-to-hand” drug transaction.  PO Woodard approached a parked car and identified the occupants.  Subsequent to further investigation, it is alleged that both defendants were in possession of a quantity of marijuana.
 
The defendants were both issued Appearance Tickets and released from the scene on their own recognizance.  They are both scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 28, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
