Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Croton man, who is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, BAC .18 of 1% or More, and Driving While Intoxicated, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as multiple traffic infractions.
On June 6, 2021 at 10:49 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of an erratic operator on Commerce Street heading westbound onto Route 202. Officer Lizarzaburu responded to the scene and observed the described vehicle. The vehicle allegedly failed to maintain its lane multiple times and was being operated in a manner which was impeding other vehicles. Officer Lizarzaburu conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the driver as the defendant. After conducting an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. After further investigation at the Yorktown Police Department, it is alleged that the defendant had a BAC of .18 or more. After processing, the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 17, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 41-year-old male from Poughkeepsie, NY on two Arrest Warrants issued by the Yorktown Justice Court for failure to appear.
According to police, on June 2, 2021 at about 1:30 pm, Yorktown Police were notified by the Putnam County Sheriffs Office that they had the defendant in custody, who had two active Arrest Warrants in the Town of Yorktown. After further investigation, it’s alleged that the defendant failed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 11, 2021 in reference to two separate cases. The defendant was previously arrested for petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. The defendant was released from the Putnam County Sheriffs Office and was taken into custody by Yorktown Police at 157 Bryant Pond Road in Putnam County. The defendant was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing, where it was discovered that the defendant had an active warrant out of Orange County, NY. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo, who released the defendant on his own recognizance on the Yorktown charges. The defendant was turned over to the Orange County Sheriffs Office in reference to their warrant. The defendant was instructed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 15, 2021 at 6:00 pm. |
