Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 50 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with one count of Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On April 29, 2022 at about 1:30 pm, Yorktown Police responded to 345 Kear Street for a report of an aggravated harassment complaint. Following an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant placed the victim in fear by threatening to kill the victim. Officers on patrol located the defendant at the DeVito Memorial Park, where the victim identified the defendant, and the defendant was then placed under arrest. The defendant was charged with one count of Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 17, 2022 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 17-year-old Yorktown man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, a Class "E" Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, as well Unsafe Lane Change, a Traffic Infraction.
On April 11, 2022 at approximately 5:56 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle which was parked at Turkey Mountain Park on Saw Mill River Road. It was alleged that several items, including a cell phone, were taken from the vehicle. On April 27, 2022, the victim contacted Yorktown Police and advised officers that the cell phone had been turned on and was able to determine its location. Following an investigation, the defendant was identified and it is alleged that the defendant was unlawfully in possession of a stolen cell phone, as well as 22 Vyvanse pills, a controlled substance. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing. The defendant was processed, issued a juvenile appearance ticket and released to a parent. The defendant is due to appear in the Felony Youth Part of the Westchester County Superior Court on May 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of an 18-year-old, Yonkers man, who is charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class "E" Felony, Possession of Burglar Tools, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, and No Front License Plate, a Traffic Infraction.
On April 27, 2022 at about 3:45 pm, Yorktown Police responded to 1859 East Main Street for a report of a larceny in progress of used cooking oil. It was reported that a male had taken the used cooking oil and left the location in a white colored van. While responding, Officer David located a vehicle matching the description parked in the gas station located at 1770 East Main Street. PO David initiated an investigation and the defendant was identified. After investigation it is alleged that the defendant had stolen a quantity of used cooking oil, was in possession of a pump and two large containers containing used cooking oil, and had no front plate affixed to his vehicle. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and issued an appearance ticket, as well as a traffic ticket. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 12, 2022 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31-year-old Cortlandt Manor woman, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (2 counts), Class “A” Misdemeanors, and Multiple Other Traffic Infractions. In addition, Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 34-year-old Cortlandt Manor man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, a Class “D” Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On April 22, 2022 at 3:45 pm, Officer Houlihan was on patrol when he observed a vehicle that was allegedly failing to keep right a lane of traffic. Officer Houlihan conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Defendant #1 and the passenger as Defendant #2. A DMV check of Defendant #1’s driver's license showed that it was suspended. At the completion of an investigation at the scene, Defendant #1 was alleged to be in possession of a quantity of Cocaine, a quantity of Heroin, and a glass pipe and Defendant #2 was alleged to be in possession of a quantity of Cocaine and a quantity of Heroin. It was also alleged that Defendant #2 had an active Bench Warrant for his arrest from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. Both defendants were placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. After arrest processing was completed, Defendant #1 was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket for the above charges and released on her own recognizance. Defendant #2 was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo, who set bail. Defendant #2 posted bail and was then transferred to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety for the active Bench Warrant. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 3, 2022 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 45 year old Carmel woman, who is charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class "C" Felony, and the arrest of a 42 year old Carmel man, who is charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class "C" Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On April 21, 2022 at approximately 12:26 am, Yorktown Police responded to a 911 call about a male and female attempting to enter a garage attached to an occupied residence. Sgt. Sansone, P.O. Gregorio, P.O. Rana and P.O. Murphy responded to investigate. Upon arrival, they observed a male and female standing by the front door of the residence while the garage door was completely open. The male and female were identified as the defendants. After an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendants unlawfully entered the residence in an attempt to remove items from inside. Following further investigation, it is alleged that the male defendant was unlawfully in possession of a quantity of Clonazepam pills. The defendants were placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Once at Headquarters, the defendants were processed on the above charges and were later arraigned by Judge Cohen-Pierson who set bail at $5,500 each. The defendants were unable to post bail and were remanded to the Westchester County Jail. They are both due back in Yorktown Justice Court on April 27, 2022. |
