Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-six year old female Mahopac resident, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated BAC .08% or More, and Driving While Intoxicated, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, and Speed In Zone, Fail to Signal a Lane Change and Fail to Maintain Lane, all Traffic Infractions.
On October 31, 2017 at about 9:20 am, Officer Campion was on routine patrol on Route 6 in the area of Mill St. when he observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the travel lanes. The vehicle was also speeding and the driver did not use a turn signal. Officer Campion conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the defendant was identified as the vehicle’s operator. After conducting an investigation and field sobriety tests, it is alleged that the defendant was driving while intoxicated. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and additionally charged with Driving While Intoxicated BAC .08% or More after the results of a breath test. The defendant was later arraigned by the Hon. Salvatore Lagonia, who set bail at $1,000 cash. The defendant was bailed out by a family member and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of two residents of Stonegate Rd. in Shrub Oak, who are each charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On October 31, 2017 at about 6:45 am, Yorktown Police were called to the area of East Main St. in Shrub Oak for a report of a small child standing on the sidewalk alone and barefoot. Police quickly responded and located a three year old girl standing on the sidewalk. The girl was able to tell the responding officers that she lived on Stonegate Road. The officers brought the girl home, where they allegedly found that no was home in the residence. After further investigation, police allege that the defendants left the three year old girl home alone while they went to the Croton-Harmon Train Station. The defendant’s were arrested and charged with the above charge. The defendants were arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Hon. Salvatore Lagonia, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection and released the defendants on their own recognizance. They are both scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21 year old Yorktown resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving With A Blood Alcohol Content .08% Or Greater, both Unclassified Misdemeanors. Additionally, the defendant is charged with Leave Scene Property Damage Auto Accident and other traffic violations.
According to police, on October 28, 2017 at approximately 2:45 am Officer Racioppo was on patrol when he observed a black Acura allegedly strike a fire hydrant at the intersection of Crompond Rd and Old Yorktown Rd, before fleeing the scene. The vehicle was eventually stopped on Old Yorktown Rd. and the driver was identified as a 21 year old Yorktown resident. After interviewing the driver and conducting several sobriety tests, the defendant was arrested at the scene for DWI. The defendant was transported to police headquarters where he was additionally charged with Driving With A BAC of .08% Or Greater following a Datamaster breath test. The defendant was then released on his own recognizance to a sober party. The defendant is scheduled to answer said charges in Yorktown Justice Court on November 7, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 16 year old Yorktown male, who is charged with Public Lewdness and Criminal Trespass, both Class "B" Misdemeanors.
On October 11, 2017, police responded to Club Fit after a patron called the police to report a suspicious person in the facility. The patron alleged that the defendant exposed himself a lewd manner while inside the facility. After an investigation was conducted by Officer Ellsworth and Detective Shanahan, the defendant was identified from the club's security cameras. On 10/13/2017, the defendant voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was placed under arrest and charged with the above charges. After arrest processing, the defendant was released on his own recognizance to a parent. He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 26, 2017 at 6:00 pm. |
