Yorktown Police report the arrest of two residents of Stonegate Rd. in Shrub Oak, who are each charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On October 31, 2017 at about 6:45 am, Yorktown Police were called to the area of East Main St. in Shrub Oak for a report of a small child standing on the sidewalk alone and barefoot. Police quickly responded and located a three year old girl standing on the sidewalk. The girl was able to tell the responding officers that she lived on Stonegate Road. The officers brought the girl home, where they allegedly found that no was home in the residence. After further investigation, police allege that the defendants left the three year old girl home alone while they went to the Croton-Harmon Train Station. The defendant’s were arrested and charged with the above charge. The defendants were arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Hon. Salvatore Lagonia, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection and released the defendants on their own recognizance. They are both scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
