Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 32 year old Cortlandt Manor woman, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Previous Conviction Within the Past 10 Years, a Class "E" Felony, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle and Visibility Distorted Due to Broken Glass, both Traffic Infractions.
On July 28, 2021, at approximately 7:51 PM, P.O. Ellsworth responded to a call for a check the welfare, where an unknown female had parked her vehicle in the driveway of 1574 East Main Street and was stumbling around. P.O. Ellsworth conducted an investigation and the operator of the motor vehicle was identified. After completing an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant was driving while intoxicated, had an open container of alcohol inside of a motor vehicle, and a broken windshield. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Upon further investigation it was revealed that the defendant had a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket, and was released on her own recognizance to a responsible third party. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 10, 2021 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 15 year old Yorktown, NY resident, who charged with 6 counts of Juvenile Delinquency and a 14 year old Yorktown, NY resident, who is charged with 3 counts of Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge for both juveniles being Making Graffiti, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On May 12, 2021, several officers were dispatched to several different reports of graffiti throughout the Yorktown Heights Business District. PO. Noone, with the assistance other Yorktown police officers, actively investigated these incidents. As a result of the on-going investigation by members of the department, information was developed and identified two possible suspects. PO. Noone continued the investigation and subsequently arrested the two juvenile defendants. They were both charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge being Making Graffiti. The Juveniles were contacted and responded Police Headquarters with their parents. Both Juveniles were issued appearance tickets and released on their own recognizance to a parent. They are both due to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on July 8, 2021 at 9:00 am. |
