Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30 year old Mahopac man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Previous Conviction in the Last 10 Years) and DWI Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or More (Previous Conviction in the Last 10 Years), both Class "E" Felonies, as well as Crossing Road Hazard Markings, a Traffic Infraction.
On February 26, 2020, at approximately 2:24 am, Officer Premuto was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of East Main Street. Officer Premuto initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as the defendant. After an investigation on scene, it was determined that the defendant was driving while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Upon further investigation at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant was charged with having a B.A.C. of .08% or more. The defendant has a previous conviction for Driving While Intoxicated within the past 10 years, which elevated both charges to felonies. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible party. He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 17, 2020, at 6:00 pm Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Assault in the Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
According to police, on February 27, 2020, at about 2:58 PM, P.O. Gregorio and Det. Sage were assigned to investigate a domestic dispute that occurred at a residence in Yorktown. Following an investigation, it’s alleged that the defendant did endanger the welfare of a child and caused a physical injury by recklessly striking his 8 year old child with a stick, causing several bruises. The defendant was then arrested and transported to police headquarters. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Gary Raniolo . The defendant was released on his own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 12, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 55 year old woman from Carmel, NY, who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired, Refusal to Take Breath Test, Consumption or Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle, and Possessing More Than One NYS Driver's License, which are all Traffic Infractions.
On February 20, 2020, at approximately 12:35 am, Yorktown Police were checking the area of Rochambeau Drive for a vehicle that was wanted by Carmel PD. PO Rana located the vehicle and identified the operator as the defendant. After an investigation on scene, PO Rana located an open bottle of wine inside the vehicle and determined that the defendant was operating the vehicle while her ability to do so was impaired by alcohol. When asked to submit to a breath test at the scene, the defendant refused. She was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Upon further investigation at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant was additionally charged with possessing more than one New York State Driver's License. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and was turned over to Carmel Police Department. She is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 10, 2020, at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 56 year old man from Garrison, NY, who is charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, Resisting Arrest, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a Violation.
On February 19, 2020 at approximately 8:17 pm, Yorktown Police received a call reporting an altercation at a local restaurant on Lexington Ave in Mohegan Lake. PO Caprio and PO Madaus were dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival of the officers, contact was quickly made with the defendant, who began threatening the police officers while screaming and shouting obscenities inside the restaurant. As the officers tried to de-escalate the situation, the defendant forcibly grabbed Officer Caprio. The officers attempted to arrest the defendant, who resisted arrest by fighting with officers and not complying with commands to stop. The defendant was eventually taken into custody and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party. He is due in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 10, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of 37 year-old Peekskill, NY resident on a bench warrant issued by the Yorktown Justice Court for Failure to Appear in connection with the charge of Menacing in the 2nd Degree.
On February 11, 2020 at 6:00 PM, it is alleged that the defendant missed a scheduled court appearance at the Yorktown Justice Court and a bench warrant was issued. On February 13, 2020 at approximately 5:38 PM, the defendant responded to Yorktown Police Headquarters and was arrested on the warrant by Officer Doherty. The defendant was processed and then brought before the Honorable Gary Raniolo for arraignment. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on February 18, 2020 at 6:00 pm. |
