Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 16 year old Cortland Manor man who is charged with Attempted Assault 3rd Degree, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, and a 19 year old Buchanan man who is charged with Menacing 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On June 27, 2019 at about 10:55 pm, Yorktown Police responded to 1916 Commerce St. for a reported dispute. PO DiPietrantonio, and other officers, responded and conducted an investigation that revealed that a dispute occurred between the victim and the two defendants over a cell phone. It is alleged by the victim that he was punched by the 16 year old and threatened by the 19 year old who displayed a knife. As a result of the investigation, the 16 year old was arrested for Attempted Assault 3rd Degree and the 19 year old was arrested for Menacing 2nd Degree. The two were transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The 16 year old was released to a relative on his own recognizance and is scheduled to answer said charge at the Department of Probation on July 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Yorktown police report the arrest of 52 year old Hopewell Jct resident, Priscilla Conrad, who is charged with the Class D FELONY of attempted Robbery 2nd and the Class E FELONY of Grand Larceny 4th.
Police state that on June 22, 2019 at about 1100AM they responded to Courtesy Shell in Shrub Oak where it was reported that a patron had her purse stolen. Officer Michael Pietraniello was dispatched. Investigation revealed that the victim was pumping gas when a female allegedly reached into the victim’s car and stole her purse. Witnesses who saw the alleged theft intervened to prevent the female from fleeing the scene and to recover the purse. A struggle ensued where an uninvolved party sustained a knee injury while attempting to recover the stolen purse. While the purse was recovered the female fled the scene. The license plate number of the fleeing vehicle was provided to investigating officers by witnesses. Through DMV records and continuing investigation Conrad was identified as a suspect. A BOLO was put out for the suspect and the vehicle. During the evening of June 26, 2019 Yorktown PD received notification from East Fishkill PD that they had Conrad in custody following a traffic accident. Officer Palladino met with East Fishkill PD officers and placed Conrad under arrest for the listed charges. Following processing Conrad was arraigned by Judge Raniolo who remanded her to the Westchester County Jail, no bail, to appear in Yorktown Court on June 27, 2019 at 6:00PM Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year old Bronx NY man who is charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree, a Class "B" Felony.
Yorktown Police report that on June 25, 2019 at approximately 10:08 PM, they received a 911 phone call from a man reporting he had just been robbed at gun point outside of his home by two males. Upon arrival, an investigation revealed that an ATV was stolen and a description of the two males, the stolen ATV and the vehicle was broadcast to all surrounding Police Departments. With the assistance of the Mount Pleasant PD, Westchester County Police and the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center, the ATV and involved vehicle were located. Westchester County Police recovered the stolen ATV and the one suspect that allegedly robbed the man at gun point was identified and arrested by Westchester County PD. The defendant was processed by Westchester County Police for the possession of stolen property and then transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters and processed on the above robbery charge. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia who set bail at $25,000.00 cash or $50,000.00 bond. The defendant was unable to post bail and was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections. He is due back in Yorktown Court on June 27, 2016 at 06:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 43 year old Sleepy Hollow, NY resident who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor along with the above listed traffic infractions.
On June 9th, 2019 at about 8:08 PM, Officer Caprio was assigned to investigate a property damage auto accident near the intersection of East Main Street and Hill Blvd. While conducting an accident investigation it is alleged that the defendant did flee from the scene before returning on his own a short time later. A routine driver’s license check was conducted and it is alleged that the defendant was driving while his operating privileges were revoked in New York State for alcohol related offenses. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing on the charges the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and released on $250.00 bail. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 9th, 2019 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of two 18 year old and one 19 year old Yorktown residents on the charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, a Class C Felony, additionally Alex Berk was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, and No/Inadequate Plate Lamp, a Traffic Violation.
On June 15, 2019 while on patrol on Route 118 at approximately 0108 hours Officer Curtis observed a vehicle turning from Route 118 onto Allen Ave. which allegedly had an inoperable license plate lamp. Officer Curtis conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle on White Birch Dr. A subsequent investigation at the scene revealed that the driver and two occupants were allegedly in possession of a quantity of hallucinogenic psilocybin mushrooms and the driver was in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendants were placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing. The defendants were processed on the above charges and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by Judge Raniolo who released all three defendants on their own recognizance. The defendants are all due to return before Judge Raniolo in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 27, 2019 at 6:00 PM. |
