Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 16 year old Cortland Manor man who is charged with Attempted Assault 3rd Degree, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, and a 19 year old Buchanan man who is charged with Menacing 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On June 27, 2019 at about 10:55 pm, Yorktown Police responded to 1916 Commerce St. for a reported dispute. PO DiPietrantonio, and other officers, responded and conducted an investigation that revealed that a dispute occurred between the victim and the two defendants over a cell phone. It is alleged by the victim that he was punched by the 16 year old and threatened by the 19 year old who displayed a knife. As a result of the investigation, the 16 year old was arrested for Attempted Assault 3rd Degree and the 19 year old was arrested for Menacing 2nd Degree. The two were transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The 16 year old was released to a relative on his own recognizance and is scheduled to answer said charge at the Department of Probation on July 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm. The 19 year old was ROR'd to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 25, 2019 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
