Yorktown Police report the arrest of a a 33 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Inadequate Windshield and Unlicensed Operation, both Traffic Infractions.
On October 20, 2018 at approximately 7:14 pm, P.O. Fortunato conducted a traffic stop on Route 6 at the Taconic State Parkway for a vehicle with badly broken windshield. The operator of the vehicle was identified by an expired New York State non-driver ID card. Following an investigation, it was determined that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle while his driving privilege was revoked. It was also found that the defendant was driving without a license and that his visibility limited by the broken windshield. Further investigation and a search of the vehicle the defendant had been operating by Sgt. Dillon, P.O. Fortunato, P.O. Beyrer and his K-9 partner "Dallas" revealed that the defendant was in possession of cocaine and heroin. The defendant was arrested on the above charges and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing on the charges, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket, 3 traffic summonses and released on $250.00 cash bail. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 27, 2018 at 6:00 pm to answer the charges. Yorktown Police report that a seventeen year old male from Bedford, New York, whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for Youthful Offender Status, was served with a Criminal Summons for an underlying charge of Harassment 2nd, a Violation.
On October 10, 2018, Yorktown Police personnel responded to the BOCES Fox Meadow campus on Fox Meadow Rd. for an altercation between a student and a staff member. After conducting an investigation at the scene and at the victim’s request, a Criminal Summons was obtained from the Yorktown Justice Court for a charge of Harassment 2nd Degree. On October 25, 2018 at about 9:45 am, PO David and Det. Tausz responded to the seventeen year old’s residence in Bedford and served him the Criminal Summons. The seventeen year old is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 8, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a forty-seven year old Wappingers Falls man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
On October 25, 2018 at about 1:15 pm, Officer Houlihan was dispatched to Front St. for a one car property damage auto accident. Upon arrival, PO Houlihan conducted an investigation at the scene and determined that the driver of the vehicle was driving while his driver’s license was revoked. The defendant voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters on October 26, 2018, where he was processed on the above charge and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 29, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 29 year old Cortlandt Manor man, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class "E" Felony, Attempted Assault 3rd, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
On October 28, 2018 at approximately 4:49 PM, Yorktown Police received a call of a domestic altercation that occurred at the Shell Gas Station, 930 East Main Street. Responding Officers arrived on scene and an investigation revealed that the defendant had a physical altercation with his girlfriend and attempted to assault her. The defendant then yelled profanities, refused to comply with orders to stay away from the victim and began to interfere with the police officers' investigation. The defendant also advanced toward Officer Caprio and grabbed onto him while resisting arrest. Further investigation revealed that the defendant violated a duly served Town of North Castle Court order of protection. The defendant was arrested on scene and transported back to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo who issued a new Temporary Order of Protection in favor of the victim and set bail at $10,000 cash which he could not post. The defendant was turned over to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections and is due back in Yorktown Court on November 1, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or More, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, and Following Too Closely, a Traffic Infraction.
On September 14, 2018 at about 11:19 PM, Yorktown Police received a call of a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a tractor trailer on Route 6 at the intersection of Hill Blvd. PO Beyrer and PO Curtis were dispatched to investigate. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant was driving while in an intoxicated and following too closely. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. During processing it is further alleged that the defendant was driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .18 or more. The defendant was processed on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible party. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 27th, 2018 at 6:00 pm. |
