Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 29 year old Cortlandt Manor man, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class "E" Felony, Attempted Assault 3rd, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
On October 28, 2018 at approximately 4:49 PM, Yorktown Police received a call of a domestic altercation that occurred at the Shell Gas Station, 930 East Main Street. Responding Officers arrived on scene and an investigation revealed that the defendant had a physical altercation with his girlfriend and attempted to assault her. The defendant then yelled profanities, refused to comply with orders to stay away from the victim and began to interfere with the police officers' investigation. The defendant also advanced toward Officer Caprio and grabbed onto him while resisting arrest. Further investigation revealed that the defendant violated a duly served Town of North Castle Court order of protection. The defendant was arrested on scene and transported back to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo who issued a new Temporary Order of Protection in favor of the victim and set bail at $10,000 cash which he could not post. The defendant was turned over to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections and is due back in Yorktown Court on November 1, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
