Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31-year-old Cortlandt Manor woman, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (2 counts), Class “A” Misdemeanors, and Multiple Other Traffic Infractions. In addition, Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 34-year-old Cortlandt Manor man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, a Class “D” Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On April 22, 2022 at 3:45 pm, Officer Houlihan was on patrol when he observed a vehicle that was allegedly failing to keep right a lane of traffic. Officer Houlihan conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Defendant #1 and the passenger as Defendant #2. A DMV check of Defendant #1’s driver's license showed that it was suspended. At the completion of an investigation at the scene, Defendant #1 was alleged to be in possession of a quantity of Cocaine, a quantity of Heroin, and a glass pipe and Defendant #2 was alleged to be in possession of a quantity of Cocaine and a quantity of Heroin. It was also alleged that Defendant #2 had an active Bench Warrant for his arrest from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. Both defendants were placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. After arrest processing was completed, Defendant #1 was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket for the above charges and released on her own recognizance. Defendant #2 was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo, who set bail. Defendant #2 posted bail and was then transferred to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety for the active Bench Warrant. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 3, 2022 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 45 year old Carmel woman, who is charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class "C" Felony, and the arrest of a 42 year old Carmel man, who is charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class "C" Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On April 21, 2022 at approximately 12:26 am, Yorktown Police responded to a 911 call about a male and female attempting to enter a garage attached to an occupied residence. Sgt. Sansone, P.O. Gregorio, P.O. Rana and P.O. Murphy responded to investigate. Upon arrival, they observed a male and female standing by the front door of the residence while the garage door was completely open. The male and female were identified as the defendants. After an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendants unlawfully entered the residence in an attempt to remove items from inside. Following further investigation, it is alleged that the male defendant was unlawfully in possession of a quantity of Clonazepam pills. The defendants were placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Once at Headquarters, the defendants were processed on the above charges and were later arraigned by Judge Cohen-Pierson who set bail at $5,500 each. The defendants were unable to post bail and were remanded to the Westchester County Jail. They are both due back in Yorktown Justice Court on April 27, 2022. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31-year-old Yorktown Heights man for Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On January 15, 2022 at approximately 5:45 am, Yorktown Police responded to the Underhill Apartments for a report of a stolen motor vehicle from Summit Street in Yorktown Heights. They met with the reporting person, who said that he parked his 2017 Mercedes Benz C30 convertible on Summit Street at about 5:00 am and when he returned to his vehicle twenty minutes later, it was gone. PO Rana and Det. Beyrer were assigned to investigate. Det. Beyrer learned the vehicle in question was located in Ossining, NY that same morning after it had been involved in an accident and abandoned. Det. Beyrer continued his investigation and alleges the defendant was with the vehicle when it crashed in Ossining and it was not stolen from Yorktown as reported. On March 21, 2022, after multiple attempts to locate the defendant were unsuccessful, Det. Beyrer applied for an Arrest Warrant for the defendant for Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd Degree. On April 18, 2022 Yorktown Police, Westchester County Police & Peekskill Police assisted the US Department of Probation as they conducted a home check on the defendant at 250 Underhill Ave in Yorktown Heights. Federal Probation Officers located the defendant and detained him based on the Yorktown Police Arrest Warrant. The defendant was arrested on the Yorktown warrant and brought to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Federal Probation Officers, in their check of the residence, allegedly located a loaded, semi-automatic handgun, which they allege the defendant is unable to lawfully possess due to previous felony convictions. After the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo on the Yorktown Warrant, he was released into the custody of US Department of Probation officers and was brought to Federal Court in New York City for allegedly possessing a weapon in violation of the conditions of his probation. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Menacing in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
According to police, on April 19, 2022 at approximately 12:53 pm, Yorktown Police officers were dispatched to Gerard Court for a report of a dispute between a resident and workers at the residence. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant pointed what appeared to be a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot him. When officers attempted to contact the defendant, she barricaded herself inside her residence. With the assistance of the Westchester County Police Special Response Team, the defendant was placed under arrest. Following further investigation, it is alleged that the defendant had pointed a BB gun at the victim. The defendant was processed on the above charges and then released on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 5, 2022 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 25-year-old female from Mohegan Lake, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (narcotic drug 4 ounces or more), a Class "A" Felony, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (packaging), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (scales) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th , all Class "A" Misdemeanors.
On April 16, 2022 at approximately 9:00 pm, Yorktown Police Officers executed a search warrant at a Mohegan Lake residence. While conducting the search, it is alleged Officers located more than 4 ounces of cocaine, scales, packaging material and multiple Schedule II controlled substances inside of the residence. On April 19, 2022 at 3:40 pm, the defendant voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where she was arrested on the above charges. The defendant was processed on the above charges, arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and then released on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 17, 2022 at 6:00 pm. |
