Yorktown Woman Charged with Menacing, Weapon Possession After Barricading Herself in Home

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Menacing in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
 
According to police, on April 19, 2022 at approximately 12:53 pm, Yorktown Police officers were dispatched to Gerard Court for a report of a dispute between a resident and workers at the residence. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant pointed what appeared to be a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot him.  When officers attempted to contact the defendant, she barricaded herself inside her residence.  With the assistance of the Westchester County Police Special Response Team, the defendant was placed under arrest.  Following further investigation, it is alleged that the defendant had pointed a BB gun at the victim.
 
The defendant was processed on the above charges and then released on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 5, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
