Mahopac Man Arrested for DWI Following Accident Investigation

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a sixty-four year old Mahopac, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor. 
 
On April 25th, 2019 at about 2:14 pm, Yorktown Police were dispatched to the above location for a motor vehicle accident.  Officer Mullen responded and conducted an investigation.  After speaking to the driver of the vehicle and conducting an investigation at the scene, the driver was arrested for allegedly Driving While Intoxicated.
 
The defendant was transported to Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing and subsequently released on his own recognizance, to a responsible party. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 9th, 2019 at 6:00 pm.

Wappingers Falls Woman Charged with Assault and Violating Order of Protection

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 40 year old Wappingers Falls, NY resident who is charged with Aggravated Criminal Contempt, a class “D” Felony and Assault in the 3rd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor
 
On April 20, 2019 at about 1:42 PM, PO Mullen responded to Yorktown Police Headquarters to investigate an Order of Protection violation.  Investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly responded to the victim’s residence on April 20, 2019 at approximately 0100 hours, banged on the door,  then walked to the bedroom window and allegedly assaulted the victim by attempting to pull her through the window causing injury.  It’s further alleged that the defendant violated a Town of Yorktown Town Court Stay away Temporary Order of Protection by being in the presence of the protected party.  P.O. Mullen conducted an investigation and was able to contact the defendant. On April 25, 2019 at approximately 4:30 PM the defendant responded to The Yorktown Police Department and was subsequently arrested for Assault in the 3rd degree and Aggravated Criminal Contempt.
 
The defendant was processed at the Yorktown Police Department and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Raniolo. An Order of Protection was also issued by the Honorable Judge Raniolo protecting the victim and the defendant was released on her own recognizance.  The defendant is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 16, 2019 at 6:00 PM.

Mahopac Man Arrested for DWI

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 56 year old Mahopac, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, refusal to submit to a breath test and Failure to keep right, both Traffic Infractions.
 
On April 19, 2019 at approximately 11:09 PM, P.O. Ellsworth while on routine patrol on Crompond Rd observed a vehicle which allegedly failed to keep right. PO Ellsworth then initiated a vehicle and traffic stop and the defendant was identified as the operator.  An investigation on scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.  It is further alleged that the defendant refused to submit to a breath test.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters.
 
Upon arrival at Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and later released on his own recognizance to a responsible party.  He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 2, 2019 at 06:00 PM.

White Plains Man Arrested for Suspended License, Narcotics Possession Following Traffic Stop

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a forty-four year old White Plains man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (2 Counts), a Class “A” Misdemeanor, as well as Speed in Zone and Fail to Maintain Lane, both Traffic Infractions.
 
On April 17, 2019 at about 11:05 PM, Officer Palladino was on routine patrol on Underhill Ave in the area of Heights Dr. Officer Palladino observed a vehicle travelling in excess of the posted speed limit and failing to stay in its lane. A traffic stop was conducted and a subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was driving while his privilege to do so was suspended for failure to answer a summons. The driver was arrested at the scene and found to be illegally in possession of two controlled substances, Adderall and Butrans. The driver was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.
 
Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 16, 2019 at 6:00 PM.

Peekskill Woman Arrested After Stealing Children's Clothing From K-Mart

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31 year old female from Peekskill, NY,  who is charged with Petit Larceny, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
 
Police report that on April 6th, 2019, P.O. Palladino was dispatched to investigate a report of a larceny at K-Mart that had just occurred.  It was reported that the female  had left the store prior to P.O. Palladino's arrival.  He checked the area and was able to locate the female nearby.  An investigation was conducted at the scene and it was determined that she had gone into K-Mart and had stolen children’s clothing valued at $169.90.   She was arrested at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
 
She was processed on the above charge and later released on her own recognizance.  She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 7th, 2019, at 06:00 pm.
