White Plains Man Arrested for Suspended License, Narcotics Possession Following Traffic Stop4/19/2019
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a forty-four year old White Plains man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (2 Counts), a Class “A” Misdemeanor, as well as Speed in Zone and Fail to Maintain Lane, both Traffic Infractions.
On April 17, 2019 at about 11:05 PM, Officer Palladino was on routine patrol on Underhill Ave in the area of Heights Dr. Officer Palladino observed a vehicle travelling in excess of the posted speed limit and failing to stay in its lane. A traffic stop was conducted and a subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was driving while his privilege to do so was suspended for failure to answer a summons. The driver was arrested at the scene and found to be illegally in possession of two controlled substances, Adderall and Butrans. The driver was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 16, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
