Mohegan Lake Man Charged After Slashing Acquaintance's Tire

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 36 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
 
On May 17, 2021 at 6:05 am, Yorktown Police received a report of a tire being intentionally punctured some time during the previous night causing the tire to go flat.  Following an investigation, which included reviewing surveillance cameras in the area, it is alleged that the defendant, who was known to the victim, intentionally caused damage to a tire on the victim’s vehicle.
 
On May 18, 2021 at about 10:30 pm, the defendant voluntarily surrendered at  Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was placed under arrest. 
 
On May 19, 2021 at 11:30 am, the defendant was arraigned on the above charge by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection on behalf of the victim and released the defendant on his own recognizance.  The defendant is due appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on June 1, 2021 at 6:00 pm.

Yorktown Man Arrested After Using Stolen Credit Card

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 64 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class “E” Felony.
 
On March 24, 2021 at 6:35 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a stolen wallet that had been left in a shopping cart at Lowe’s.  The victim told the responding officer that a purchase had just been made at another location using a credit card that was inside the stolen wallet.  Following an investigation, a suspect was identified as the defendant and it is alleged that the defendant located the wallet in a shopping cart at Lowe's and unlawfully used the victim's credit card at another location. 
 
On May 17, 2021 the defendant voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was placed under arrest.  The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 3, 2021 at 6:00 pm.

Peekskill Juvenile Charged with Juvenile Delinquency For Throwing Chair at Vehicle

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 15 year old from Peekskill, New York, who is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge if committed by an adult being Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
According to Police, on March 23, 2021 at 11:50 am, PO Curtin responded to 359 Downing Drive for a report of a fight in progress. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the 15 year old defendant threw a chair at a vehicle, causing damage.  The subject left the scene prior to police arrival, but was later identified during further investigation.
 
On May 13, 2021 the 15 year old and a parent responded to Yorktown Police Headquarters and was processed on the Juvenile Delinquency charge.  The Juvenile was issued a Juvenile Appearance Ticket and is due to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on May 20, 2021 at 9:00 am.

Brooklyn Man Arrested at Parole Office for Domestic Assault

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 48-year-old Brooklyn man, who is charged with Assault 3rd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
 
According to police, on April 24, 2021, Yorktown Police received a walk-in report of a domestic incident in which an assault is alleged to have occurred.  Officer Uhl was assigned to investigate.  Following the investigation, it is alleged that on April 20, 2021, the defendant caused a physical injury to a female victim by striking her in the face.  On May 7, 2021 PO Uhl was notified that the defendant was currently in New Rochelle at the New Rochelle Parole Office.  PO Uhl and PO Mullen responded to the Parole Office and placed the defendant under arrest on the Assault charge.
 
After processing, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo.  A Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim.  The defendant was held on $500 cash bail on an unrelated NYS Parole Warrant, and subsequently remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections.  The defendant in scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 25, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
