Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 36 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On May 17, 2021 at 6:05 am, Yorktown Police received a report of a tire being intentionally punctured some time during the previous night causing the tire to go flat. Following an investigation, which included reviewing surveillance cameras in the area, it is alleged that the defendant, who was known to the victim, intentionally caused damage to a tire on the victim’s vehicle. On May 18, 2021 at about 10:30 pm, the defendant voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was placed under arrest. On May 19, 2021 at 11:30 am, the defendant was arraigned on the above charge by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection on behalf of the victim and released the defendant on his own recognizance. The defendant is due appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on June 1, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
