Tarrytown Man Arrested Following Investigation of Domestic Incident

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 43 year old Tarrytown, NY resident who is charged with one count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor and one count of Harassment in the 2nd Degree, a violation.
 
On October 15, 2019 Yorktown Police responded to Yorktown Police Headquarters for a domestic incident report.  After taking the report from the victim, it is alleged that the defendant violated a Westchester County Family Court Temporary Order of Protection by allegedly texting and calling the victim multiple times which caused the victim annoyance, alarm and fear.  The defendant voluntarily surrendered himself at Yorktown Police Headquarters on October 17, 2019 where he was charged with one count of Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree and one count of Harassment 2nd Degree.
 
The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo who released him on his own recognizance and issued a new temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.  The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on October 31, 2019 at 6:00 pm.

Mahopac Man Arrested, Charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30 year old Mahopac, NY resident who is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor. 
According to police, on October 15, 2019 at approximately 1:55 AM, P.O. Vuoso observed an unconscious male in the driver seat of his running vehicle, which was located in the parking lot of 3399 Crompond Road. An investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while ability impaired by drugs. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing.
​The defendant was processed on the above charge and released to a responsible third party after posting $200.00 cash bail. He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 29, 2019 at 6:00pm.

Somers Teen Arrested, Charged Following Trespassing Complaint

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 16 year old male from Somers, New York, who is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge if committed by an adult being Obstructing Government Administration, a Class A misdemeanor, Resisting Arrest, a Class A Misdemeanor and Trespass, a Violation.
 
According to Police, on October 6, 2019 at 658 PM, a report was received that a male was in Kmart refusing to leave after previously being barred from the premises by Kmart employees. Sgt. Kolkmann, P.O. Woodard, and PO Palladino responded and conducted an investigation.  It is alleged that the defendant did remain in the Kmart Store located at 355 Downing Drive after being asked to leave numerous times by Kmart employees.  The defendant allegedly then refused Police commands to leave the premises, allegedly fought Police and resisted arrest.
 
The Juvenile was arrested on scene and processed on the Juvenile Delinquency charge.  The Juvenile was issued a Juvenile Appearance Ticket.  The Juvenile is due to appear in the Westchester County Department of Probation on October 15, 2019 at 9 AM.

Two Men from Massachusetts Arrested Following Traffic Stop Investigation

Yorktown Police report the arrest of two 19 year old Massachusetts residents, one man who is charged with Obstructing Government Administration 2nd, a Class A Misdemeanor and Improper Turn, a traffic infraction and another man who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd, a Class E Felony.
 
According to Police, on October 12, 2019 at approximately 10:12 PM, P.O. Hannigan was on routine patrol on Crompond Rd when he observed a vehicle allegedly make an improper left turn onto Crompond Road and a traffic stop was initiated. PO Hannigan made contact with the operator who allegedly took his car key, attempted to start his vehicle and flee the traffic stop.  An investigation was conducted at the scene by P.O. Hannigan which revealed that the passenger in the car was allegedly in possession of a quantity Marijuana over 8 ounces. The passenger was also allegedly in possession of a quantity of a liquid controlled substance. The defendants were arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.
 
At Headquarters the defendants were processed on the above charges and released on their own recognizance.  The defendants are scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice on November 14, 2019 at 6:00 pm.

Yonkers Man Arrested Following Complaint at Local Shopping Center

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 20 year old Yonkers, NY resident who is charged one count of Disorderly Conduct, a Violation. 
On October 12, 2019 at approximately 10:25 PM, Yorktown Police received a call reporting a vehicle and traffic complaint in the parking lot of BJ’s located at 3333 Crompond RD.  PO Ellsworth and PO Rana were dispatched to investigate.  An investigation at the scene was conducted and the defendant was allegedly operating his vehicle while burning out in circles, making excessive noise and smoke while the parking lot was filled with people and other vehicles, obstructing vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. 
The defendant was processed on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance.  He is due in Yorktown Justice Court November 14, 2019 at 6:00PM.
