Yorktown Police report the arrest of a forty-three year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class “A” Misdemeanor, and Attempted Assault in the 3rd Degree, a Class “B” Misdemeanor.
On September 27th, 2021 at about 6:20 pm, Yorktown Police responded to a Yorktown residence to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. PO Gregorio was dispatched and began an investigation. After further investigation it is alleged that during the domestic dispute a thirteen year old victim was stabbed in the hand with a fork, causing puncture wounds and minor bleeding. At 7:05 pm PO Gregorio placed the defendant under arrest and transported her to Yorktown Police Headquarters processing. The defendant was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. A temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and the defendant was released on her own recognizance. The victim was left in the care of an adult relative under the advisement of the Court and Child Protective Services. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September, 28th at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of 41 year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
According to police, on September 21, 2021 at about 10:20 pm, P.O. Palladino observed a domestic dispute in the parking lot of police headquarters. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant endangered the welfare of a 15 year old child by driving her vehicle from a Yorktown residence to the Yorktown Police Department parking lot with the child clinging to a rear bike rack on the outside of her vehicle. The defendant was arrested and brought inside police headquarters for processing and the child was left in the care of an adult family member. Following processing on the above charge, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. The defendant was released on her own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 5, 2021, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year old Yorktown resident, who is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor, Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class “E” Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Fail to Keep Right and Unlicensed Operator, a both traffic infractions.
According to Police, on September 21, 2021 at approximately 1:41 pm, PO Garcia was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Oakside Road. An investigation was conducted at the scene by PO Garcia and it is alleged that the defendant was driving while her privilege to do so was suspended for failing to answer a summons. Following further investigation it is alleged that the defendant was in possession of a quantity heroin. The defendant was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. It is further alleged that while at the Yorktown Police Department the defendant tampered with physical evidence. Following processing on the above charges the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 7, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Traffic Advisory: Yorktown Grange to Hold Annual Tractor Parade Saturday, September 11th at Noon9/8/2021
Yorktown Police Department Chief of Police Robert Noble advises motorists that on Saturday September 11, 2021 at 12:00 pm the Yorktown Grange will be holding its Annual Tractor Parade.
The parade will begin at the Yorktown Heights Fire Department fair grounds on Veterans Rd., continue to Commerce St., to Hanover St., and conclude at the Grange Fairgrounds on Moseman Rd. To provide for safety of parade participants and spectators the following roadways will be closed from approximately 11:30 am until the conclusion of the parade, estimated to be approximately one hour. 1.
