Yorktown Woman Charged with Heroin Possession, Tampering with Evidence Following Rollover Accident9/25/2021
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year old Yorktown resident, who is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor, Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class “E” Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Fail to Keep Right and Unlicensed Operator, a both traffic infractions.
According to Police, on September 21, 2021 at approximately 1:41 pm, PO Garcia was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Oakside Road. An investigation was conducted at the scene by PO Garcia and it is alleged that the defendant was driving while her privilege to do so was suspended for failing to answer a summons. Following further investigation it is alleged that the defendant was in possession of a quantity heroin. The defendant was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. It is further alleged that while at the Yorktown Police Department the defendant tampered with physical evidence. Following processing on the above charges the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 7, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
