Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Assault in the Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
According to police, on February 27, 2020, at about 2:58 PM, P.O. Gregorio and Det. Sage were assigned to investigate a domestic dispute that occurred at a residence in Yorktown. Following an investigation, it’s alleged that the defendant did endanger the welfare of a child and caused a physical injury by recklessly striking his 8 year old child with a stick, causing several bruises. The defendant was then arrested and transported to police headquarters. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Gary Raniolo . The defendant was released on his own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 12, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
